The legendary Japanese game producer Yasuko Matsuno, who single-handedly created the classic SRPGs Royal Knights and Final Fantasy Strategy Edition and created the full-score game Final Fantasy XI2, has not made a new move in years, but it seems that the veteran who is good at creating the game world is on his way back to game development.
In a recently published interview, the Japanese game media interviewed Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of the Final Fantasy series. When asked about the people he would like to focus on in 2021, Hironobu Sakaguchi replied that the person he was most concerned about in 2021 was Yasuko Matsuno, saying that he had heard that Matsuno was working on a script and looked forward to what kind of work the script would eventually become.
Although Matsuno has faded out of game development for many years, since founding his own company in 2016, he has also accepted a collaboration from Square Enix and wrote the plot for the Red Lotus Frenzy and Dark Rebels in Final Fantasy XIV.
I wonder if Matsuno's new script from 2021 will still serve the new expansion pack for Final Fantasy XIV? After all, for a long time, Sakaguchi Hironobu was most addicted to this game.
