"Final Fantasy XIV" Yoshida hopes that players will not use the shortcut chat "Yin Yang Weird"

Final Fantasy XIV's all-new 5v5 PvP mode, Crystal Scramble, has led to an increase in the number of impolite behaviors between players. This even led to the fact that in the latest announcement, game director Naoki Yoshida had to speak personally about the player's behavior.

Yoshida P said in the announcement: "We have received an unprecedented number of reports of non-cooperation/hanging up or mocking others during the competition. ”

Regarding "no cooperation/hang-up", this is very common in many PvP games. Because some teammates in the team are disgusted by some players, some players may hang up, even help enemies or hinder teammates. Yoshida P writes, "All PvP content, including Crystal Scramble, is designed to be a battle/skill competition between players. Entrants must give their all, so non-cooperation or hang-up is prohibited. Even in situations of impending failure, we try to do our best, whether you're interested in rewards or not. ”

At the heart of the post was Yoshida's polite request to Crystal Scramble players to stop abusing some of the game's features ( including quick chat and action emoticons ) to "yin and yang" or taunt other players. These behaviors include:

· In the case of disadvantage, repeatedly use the shortcut chat phrase "Well done!" ”

· Before the outcome of the match is decided, use the quick chat phrase "The game is good!" repeatedly. ”

· Repeat a number of specific shortcut chat phrases.

· Continuously place a negative target marker on another ally player.

· Use and repeat an emoticon on a fallen opponent.

· Set off fireworks on an opponent who has fallen to the ground.

· After the game, use "/tell" whispers or other methods to directly harass/criticize teammates who are not within the scope of the challenge.

· Slander other players through means other than games such as social media

Yoshida P finally reminds players that the Final Fantasy XIV team reserves the right to temporarily suspend the listed behavior for 3 to 20 days, and repeated or "unusually bad" violations will result in a permanent ban.
