IT Home reported on May 14 that the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ expansion board was officially launched today, priced at $12 (IT Home note: currently about 87 yuan), which can provide M.2 NVMe SSD support for the Raspberry Pi 5 development board.
The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ uses Broadcom BCM2712 processors, DA9091 PMICs, and Raspberry Pi RP1 I/O controllers to support data transfer speeds of up to 500MB/s using the single-lane PCIe 2.0 protocol.
The shield is compatible with M.2 M Key devices (such as NVMe SSDs) in the 2230 and 2242 form factors, and can deliver 3A to M.2 devices.
