Affected by the cold wave, the temperature in Guangdong Province on the morning of the 28th was still low. Among them, the cities and counties in northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta are 2 °C to 5 °C (-4 °C to 2 °C in high-altitude mountainous areas), there is freezing, rime and rain glaze appear in the high-altitude mountainous areas of northern Qingyuan, the section from Shaoguan Yunyan to the bridge section of the Beijing-Zhuhai North Expressway and the section of the high-altitude mountainous area of Qingyuan Liannan and Lianshan have thin ice, the bridge deck and guardrail, and the rest of the cities and counties have thin ice at 6 °C ~ 10 °C. According to reports, the current winter standard is: according to the "climate seasonal division" standard (QX/T 152-2012), the 5-day sliding average temperature of 5 consecutive days ≤ 10 °C, and the first ≤ 10 °C date in the corresponding temperature series is used as the winter start date. According to this standard, Guangzhou only had an average temperature of less than 10 °C on the 27th, and the temperature began to rise slowly on the 28th, with the average temperature above 10 °C. This is still not counting the average temperature of 5 days, and the average may not even reach the standard for one day.

The Guangdong Meteorological Observatory predicted that from the 29th to the 31st, most of the province was cloudy to sunny, the temperature difference between day and night was large, the morning and evening were still cold, and some cities and counties had (light) fog. The specific forecast is as follows: On the 29th, the western part of Guangdong, the western Pearl River Delta and the cities and counties in the north of Guangdong turned cloudy and cloudy, and the rest of the cities and counties turned cloudy to sunny, and most of the cities and counties had (light) fog in the morning; on the 30th, the province was sunny to cloudy, and it was still cold in the morning and evening; on the 31st, most of the cities and counties in the province were sunny to cloudy, and it was still cold in the morning and evening.
