Beijing, December 27 (Xinhuanet) -- The digital image of the "Grand Canal Through Time and Space", produced by the China Encyclopedia Publishing House in three years, was exhibited at the Capital Museum on the 27th, with the theme of the Grand Canal through time and space, combining traditional art with modern scientific and technological means, vividly reproducing the vicissitudes of China's Grand Canal for 2500 years.

On December 27, guests viewed the digital image of the "Grand Canal Through Time" on display at the Capital Museum. The photos in this group were all photographed by Xinhua News Agency reporter Ju Huanzong

Set against the backdrop of the 2,700-kilometer-long Grand Canal of China, the film is based on 14 paintings and was created by Professor Du Fei, an artist at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Spanning 14 cities such as Hangzhou, Suzhou, Luoyang, Beijing, and traversing 2,500 years of historical time and space, it vividly restores the wonderful historical moments of more than 10 Chinese stories, such as Fu Cha's excavation of Hangou, Sui Dynasty Emperor's parade, Liyangcang Battle, Zhang Jiye's Fengqiao Bridge, Zhao Kuangyin ChenQiao Mutiny, Ricci's mission to Beijing, and canal crisis, involving more than 1,700 animated characters and more than 200 large and small ships.

The reporter learned that the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation between the Capital Museum and the China Encyclopedia Publishing House was also held on the same day. The Grand Canal Museum, located in the sub-center of the city, as the east hall of the Capital Museum, is rising in the image of "Canal Boat", and the new modern museum has been capped and is scheduled to open at the end of 2023.

In October 2021, the capital museum and the First Cooperation Project of china Encyclopedia Publishing House, the digital image exhibition "The Grand Canal Through Time and Space", landed at Beijing Daxing International Airport. Next, the two sides will base themselves on the history and culture of Beijing, fully excavate the rich historical and cultural resources of the Grand Canal, the Great Wall, the Yongding River in Xishan and the central axis of Beijing, continue to deepen cooperation, and jointly create more and better spiritual and cultural products, so that cultural relics can tell stories, let cultural relics come alive, meet the needs of the people's spiritual life, and tell Chinese stories well.

It is reported that the "Grand Canal through Time and Space" digital image screening plan lasts until February 27, 2022.
