Liao Yunzhou walked in to investigate and found more than 10,000 mortar shells, so they were left unattended and allowed to be captured by the Japanese army! So he decided to use these abandoned shells to fight the Japanese army again!

He sent people to investigate in many ways and formulate operational arrangements. Late that night, the Japanese opened the way with 2 tanks, followed by armored vehicles and trucks. Because Liao Yunzhou arranged anti-tank guns in advance, he directly blew up the Japanese tanks at the sound of an order.

Immediately after, the artillery used mortars to bombard the Japanese position again, the Japanese reacted, when they found the cover, they waited for the shelling to end before launching a charge, but 10 minutes passed the artillery fire was still fierce, and then 30 minutes, 1 hour, the artillery fire still did not stop.

The artillery fire has been around for nearly 2 hours, at which time more than 20 Japanese tanks were destroyed, hundreds of military vehicles were reimbursed, and the Japanese suffered serious casualties. And Liao Yunzhou did not lose a single soldier, only fired more than 5,000 shells! The results of the battle reached Chongqing, and Chiang Kai-shek personally gave Liao Yunzhou a commendation order.
