In preparation for the rumored AR/VR headset, it was recently reported that Apple has hired Andrea Schubert, the head of meta AR communications, for a similar role. According to Mark Gurman's "Power On" newsletter, Apple is building part of its team to handle the release of hardware and subsequent marketing efforts. Part of that was allegedly hired by Andrea Schubert, The head of AR communications and public relations at Meta.

It's just a media report, and and Andrea Schubert's LinkedIn page still shows her working at Meta as director of communications, augmented reality and research at Reality Labs, The Meta's consumer hardware division. Given the competition in the market and Apple's secrecy, it seems reasonable that this job change was hidden before going public.

Schubert was a communications manager at Oculus, a VR headset manufacturer acquired by Facebook and now Meta. He also spent five years as Director at OutCast Agency, handling PR for major clients including Facebook and Oculus, and as Senior Account Executive at Shift Communications.
