Recently, Samsung announced the development of a PCIe 5.0 SSD PM1743 mainly for enterprise-class server needs, with a minimum capacity of 1.92TB and a maximum capacity of 15.36TB.
Official data shows that PM1743 sequential reads up to 13000MB/s, sequential write 6600MB/s, random read 2500K IOPS, random write 250K IOPS, that is, up to nearly double the previous generation of PCIe 4.0 products, and energy efficiency data can be transmitted to 608MB/s per watt, thereby reducing power consumption by 30%.
It is reported that PM1743 is expected to be put into large-scale mass production in the first quarter of next year.
