It's been a month since Nintendo shut down the 3DS and WiiU servers, but there are still a handful of nostalgic players on the servers trying to stay online after the shutdown.

Before Nintendo's scheduled server shutdown on April 8, two players, Fishguy6564 and Marioiscool246, set up a pair of bots in Mario Kart 7 and kept them playing online. Since that day, the robots have been racing non-stop. By May 8, after the last Pokémon XY player went offline, only two known 3DS players, Fishguy6564 and Marioiscool246, were left to continue playing online.

But yesterday, May 14th, tragedy struck when Marioiscool246's 3DS suddenly got stuck during a race. And according to the latter's estimates, he played a total of 13151 games, of which 6495 were won by the bots of Fishguy6564 and 6656 by the bots of Marioiscool246.

Fishguy6564 is still online, but is now just connected to an empty room. According to GaffsNotLaffs on Twitter, this means that there are only four players left on the Nintendo server, with the other three holding out alone in Made in Mario, Splatoon, and Xenoblade X.
