Zhuzhou, December 26 , 2019 (Liu Man Yu Jiapei, Fo Xiangdong) On December 26, the new generation of C-Power 220s, incubated by the C-Car platform of Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRRC Times Electric"), was officially released in Zhuzhou, Hunan, which is the first domestic high-power electric drive product based on independent silicon carbide (SiC), with a system efficiency of up to 94%.

Silicon carbide is one of the ideal materials for making high-temperature, high-frequency, high-power, high-voltage devices, and new energy vehicles are an important downstream field of silicon carbide.
Yu Kang, deputy general manager of CRRC Times Electric, introduced that the C-Power 220s electric drive system product adopts the third generation of semiconductor material silicon carbide, and the silicon carbide devices and current sensors equipped with it are independently developed, mainly overcoming key technologies such as SiC drive, electromagnetic compatibility, bearing galvanic corrosion, and high-voltage insulation.
C-Power 220s high-voltage silicon carbide electric drive system products that apply silicon carbide technology have the advantages of high system power density, low system loss and strong endurance, which can adapt to the current needs of new energy vehicles with high frequency fast charging, long endurance and high safety, and are widely adapted to high-end cars, SUVs and other models, which can be flexibly mounted front and rear, bringing passengers a safer, more efficient and more energy-saving driving experience.
At present, in the field of semiconductor chips, CRRC Times Electric has successfully built an automotive power module application and industrialization platform in depth, with the ability of automotive "core" independent design and mass manufacturing; in the field of current sensors, it can also be compatible with the mainstream interface of the industry and match diversified needs.
