According to the news released by the China Meteorological Administration, many places in the south have cooled down by more than 10 ° C, coupled with the windy weather will produce obvious wind chill effect, the body feels very cold, rain and snow weather will also make the feeling of wet and cold more obvious, there will be the largest range of snowfall since this winter.

The country has turned on the quick-freezing mode, where does the cold wave come from?

Zhang Mingying introduced that China is mainly affected by the East Asian cold vortex, and this year's cold vortex is slightly southerly, so it has a greater impact on most of the eastern part of China. In fact, every year into the autumn and winter season, there will be several more obvious cold air activities, and the cold air intensity will generally reach the cold wave standard seven or eight times.

Zhang Mingying introduced that not every time a cold air strikes is called a "cold wave", the cold wave has a certain standard, the "cold air level" national standard stipulates: after the cold air transit in a certain area, the daily minimum temperature drops by 8 °C and above within 24 hours, or drops by 10 °C and above within 48 hours, or drops by 12 °C and above within 72 hours, and the daily minimum temperature drops to 4 °C or below, which can be considered to occur.

The cooling process tends to be over and the absolute temperature may be lower

According to the official website of the China Meteorological Administration, the large-scale strong cooling process of the cold wave has tended to end, but most of the areas affected by the cold wave in the next two days are still relatively cold. It is estimated that from December 26 to 27, there will be 4 to 5 northerly winds in the southeast of China and most of South China, with gusts of 6 to 7, the temperature drops by 4 to 6 °C, and the local temperature is above 6 °C; on the 27-28 days, the minimum temperature 0 °C line will be located in the northern part of South China to the south of Guizhou. There will be 7 to 9 strong winds in the southern waters of our country, and gusts of about 10 degrees. The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning of cold tide and a yellow warning of high winds at sea at 06:00 on December 26.
