When the "Fuchun Mountain Residence Map" was "combined" ten years later, calligraphers and painters on both sides of the strait once again joined hands to create and tell the wish of "painting a dream to come true"; when a dose of the new crown vaccine on the island of Taiwan was difficult to find, the Taiwan compatriots were willing to receive the domestic vaccine on the mainland; when the Hangzhou Asian Games was in full swing to prepare for construction, the Taiwanese youth who had returned from studying abroad joined in and chased their dreams across the sea...
The 2021 year that is about to pass, in terms of the tide of the times, this is a historical moment of cross-strait integration and development. For each individual, it is also an unforgettable moment of the annual memory of Taiwan compatriots.

That Moment: Reproducing "Landscape and Water"
For Chen Siting, a young Taiwanese painter and teacher at Huzhou Normal University, a creation in 2021 is not only an unforgettable moment in the past year, but also a meaningful moment in her life. At the 10th anniversary of the "Fuchun Mountain Residence Map" held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province this year, Chen Siting joined hands with nearly ten other painters from both sides of the strait to create a good story of "combining landscapes and rivers".
Ten years, in the "Fuchun Mountain Residence Map", is a landscape in the emperor's long volume. Ten years, in the "combination of mountains and rivers", is a wish to seek common well-being across the strait.
However, unlike the previous on-site joint painting by calligraphers and painters on both sides of the strait, this time the creation is quite special.
"Because of the epidemic and other reasons, calligraphers and painters on both sides of the strait cannot get together on the spot. But for this common wish, everyone overcame difficulties and created a landscape painting for half a year. Chen Siting said that as early as the beginning of this year, Li Gumo, a well-known calligrapher and painter in Taiwan, and Su Fengnan, a professor at The National Taiwan University of the Arts, began to create the first half of the painting, and then the painting was sent across the mountains and seas to Hangzhou, and she and several other mainland calligraphers and painters completed the first half.
A painting connects the two sides of the strait. Xu Jiang, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, specially introduced the painting: "The two sides of the strait share the same mountain for a thousand years and live together."
As the youngest of the participating calligraphers and painters, Chen Siting, born in 1981, bluntly said that it was "honored". From learning to paint at the age of five or six to studying for ten years at The National Taiwan University of the Arts, "Fuchun Mountain Jutu" has an unspoken weight in her heart.
At the scene of creation, Du Gaojie, a member of the China Artists Association and a professor at Zhejiang University, took out a work that made Chen Siting think a lot. This is a work created ten years ago by Du Gaojie and ink painter and permanent honorary professor of National Taiwan University of the Arts, Li Qimao and other calligraphers and painters from both sides of the strait, and Li Qimao was Chen Siting's teacher when she was studying at The National Taiwan University of the Arts.
"Teacher Li Qimao spared no effort in promoting cross-strait exchanges of calligraphy and painting before his death, and now I have the honor of taking over the baton." In Chen Siting's view, culture is a kind of inheritance, and the spirit of Chinese painting is also the same.
It is with this feeling that Chen Siting, who has been an art teacher in Taiwan for ten years, came to the mainland to start again, and in 2018, she was introduced to Huzhou Normal University through high-level talents to engage in art teaching, and promoted cross-strait painting art exchanges with her own strength.
As a young generation of painters, Chen Siting looks forward to the "Fuchun Mountain Residence Map" to be "combined" again, not only in Taiwan, but also in the mainland, and even in the world.

The moment: vaccination against domestic vaccines
"Rest assured, reassured, heartwarming". After receiving the domestic covid-19 vaccine on the mainland, Taiwanese traditional Chinese medicine physician Zhang Qishu said.
As early as January this year, Zhang Qishu was vaccinated with the new crown vaccine in Hangzhou, when the vaccine was still in short supply, and he took the lead in enjoying the vaccination policy as a medical worker. "This is the government's protection for our front-line clinicians, who are responsible for both themselves and their patients after vaccination."
Zhang Qishu, who has a medical background, recognized the safety and efficacy of mainland vaccines and shared the vaccination process on Taiwan's "Facebook" for the first time. Originally, it was a joy to share, but it did not expect to cause many questions.
"Some people say that I am a 'guinea pig' in the mainland, and some people say that I help the mainland to do propaganda..." Zhang Qishu replied to these comments one by one. He said that there are some negative comments that can be ignored, but the serious thing is to clarify them one by one.
At the same time, his parents and family in Taiwan made Zhang Qishu very worried. Due to the shortage of vaccines in Taiwan, there are even cases such as hospitals rushing for vaccines and people queuing up all night, resulting in Zhang Qishu's family still not being fully vaccinated. He hoped that the people of Taiwan could also be vaccinated against the mainland at an early date.
In the diagnosis and treatment of new crown pneumonia, Zhang Qishu, who has been engaged in the practice of traditional Chinese medicine for nearly 20 years, suggested that Taiwan also attach importance to the role of traditional Chinese medicine. "The new crown pneumonia is essentially a 'wen disease' for Chinese medicine, and the 'Wen disease school' of Chinese medicine has a long history, and from the mainland treatment experience, Chinese medicine has played an important role."
Over the years, Zhang Qishu has been committed to promoting cross-strait traditional Chinese medicine cultural exchanges.
In 2000, after graduating from Taiwan's Chinese Culture University majoring in graphic communication, Zhang Qishu chose to come to Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to re-enroll in undergraduate studies out of a strong interest in traditional Chinese medicine, becoming one of the first two Taiwanese students of Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine at that time.
After graduation, another Taiwanese student returned to Taiwan, and Zhang Qishu obtained a physician qualification certificate and obtained a practicing certificate, becoming the first Taiwanese registered TCM physician in Zhejiang. In the clinical frontline of traditional Chinese medicine, he brought Taiwan's "combination of acupuncture and medicine" therapy to the mainland, that is, the organic combination of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.
"As the essence of Chinese culture, Chinese medicine needs to be passed on by both sides of the strait, and I dare not say that this is a responsibility, but I will definitely do something within my ability." Zhang Qishu hopes that the two sides of the strait can cooperate to carry forward Chinese medicine.

That moment: Dreaming of the Hangzhou Asian Games
Graduation, returning home, working... For the 23-year-old Taiwanese youth Zhou Tingying, 2021 is a fruitful year and the beginning of a new stage in life. This year, after graduating from Boston University with a master's degree, she returned to Chinese mainland work, and after layers of selection, she finally joined the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee.
"It is very fortunate and meaningful to be able to join the Asian Organizing Committee with the first official job in my life and participate in an international event like the Asian Games." Zhou Tingying is currently in charge of the preparation of the Asian Games Museum and the Asian Games documentary in the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee, which is in line with the media research major she studied, and the international perspective also provides a lot of help for her work.
Zhou Tingying still remembers that at the "Charm hangzhou" 2021 Athletics Invitational Tournament held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center in July this year, she and her team participated in collecting materials for the Asian Games documentary. "After the end, everyone sat on the floor and ate fast food together, and a group of young people chatted and laughed without any sense of distance, which left a deep impression on me."
In fact, as early as before the official graduation, Zhou Tingying had already interned in the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee, and she had long been determined to return to the mainland to work after graduation. "On the one hand, the development of my major in Taiwan is not the best, but on the other hand, the mainland has vast space and opportunities, on the other hand, Hangzhou is also my 'hometown'."
It turned out that Zhou Tingying's mother was a native of Hangzhou, and she had been studying in Hangzhou since she was a child and receiving education from the mainland. "At the same time, I also have a lot of Taiwanese friends, and I go back every year to share with them what I have seen and heard on the mainland, especially in recent years, the mainland can be said to be a hot land for young people to realize their dreams."
Taking herself as an example, although the current working hours are not long, Zhou Tingying believes that she has grown a lot and achieved "small goals". In particular, the broad platform of the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee allows her to contact and learn a lot of things outside the professional field.
This summer, Zhou Tingying accidentally had a car accident and caused a leg fracture, and colleagues of the Asian Organizing Committee came to visit her at home after learning of the situation. In addition to being moved, she believed even more, "The two sides of the strait are already one family, and the young people on both sides of the strait are even more so." ”
At the end of the year, I often remember the past and often think about the future. This is an unforgettable moment for ordinary people, and it also constitutes a vivid footnote of the big era: The two sides of the strait will eventually move toward each other and toward "reunion." (End)
