Du Yuesheng's family lived in Hong Kong. Lock a "red post" in the safe before leaving,
A housekeeper surnamed Huang was sent to guard it.
When I came back at the end of the War of Resistance, I saw that everything else was there, except for this "red post" in the safe.
This "red post" was originally a protégé post that Chiang Kai-shek handed to the Qing gang before he made a trail, and it read, "Disciple Jiang Zhiqing worships XXX as a teacher."
After Jiang's discovery, Du Yuesheng never found an opportunity to return it.
Now it is missing, apparently by Chiang Kai-shek himself.
After taking away the "red post," Chiang Kai-shek went on to do several things that made Du Yuesheng feel cold. First, without consulting with Du Yuesheng, he appointed someone else as the mayor of Shanghai. Subsequently, Jiang Chingguo arrested Du Yuesheng's son Du Weiping. Du Yuesheng finally paid a large fine and ransomed Du Weiping. Later, Du Yuesheng's whole family went to Hong Kong, and no matter what Chiang Kai-shek called, he refused to go to Taiwan. Of course, Du Yuesheng did not dare to return to the mainland.
When he was idle, Du Yuesheng often recalled that year. Because of that "red post," he violated the gang rules, plotted against Wang Shouhua of our party for Chiang Kai-shek, and cut off his final road back to the mainland.
Fight righteousness every time more slaughter dogs, negative heart and many things to read people! Du Yuesheng lectured on righteousness, but people did not tell him about kindness.
So Du Yuesheng sighed and said to his children and grandchildren: We are night pots, there is no use value, he will throw them to the side, no longer pay attention to our night pots!
First, the relationship between Chiang Kai-shek and the Green Gang
Chiang Kai-shek was born in Xikou, Fenghua, Zhejiang, lost his father at the age of eight, and was brought up by a widowed mother.
Around 1908, when Chiang Kai-shek was studying in Japan, he was introduced by his fellow villagers to Chen Qimei, a big man of the Green Gang, and married Jinlan with him.

Chen Qimei returned to China on the orders of Sun Yat-sen, and in Shanghai, he used his status as a "big" character (roughly equivalent to the highest generation of the Qinggang at that time) to launch a revolution up and down the gang, and made friends from all over the world and Huo Yuanjia of jingwumen, becoming the de facto qinggang sitting hall.

Later, Chiang Kai-shek helped Chen Qimei assassinate Tao Chengzhang, the leader of the "Guangfu Society," and twice crossed east to Japan to avoid danger.

But at that time, Chiang Kai-shek never formally entered the Qing gang.

Chiang Kai-shek wanted to mobilize the Qinggang brothers and must obtain the "legal status" of the Qinggang, so he decided to join the Qinggang.
Folk believe that Chiang Kai-shek was under the Golden Rong Gate of the Qing Gang at that time. But Du Yuesheng's grandson Du Shun'an thought:
Chiang Kai-shek actually did not worship Jin Rong, but Du Yuesheng.
Because Jin Rong has actually not been sitting in the Qinggang hall, and until 1924, he was just a Qinggang "loophole",
Fake green gang members. At the age of twenty-three, Du Yuesheng had become an important leader in the Green Gang.
Jin Jinrong never resigned from his position as the inspector of the Huajie, although he had been opening a church in violation of the law, but the serious gang members, including his wife Lin Guisheng, were also dissatisfied with some of his later practices.
Among the three tycoons of the Green Gang, in fact, only Du Yuesheng is a real gang sitting in the hall.
He had long worshiped Chen Shichang as a teacher, and was a person with "characters". This was important until at least 1924. Only later, the gang was chaotic.

The Qing Gang was originally a Caoyun gang that developed in the late Qing Dynasty, and later turned some rules into gang rules, and the organization was once relatively strict.
Jin Rong wanted to join the Green Gang in his early years, but the people in the gang thought that he did not meet the conditions and did not agree. Jin Rong was not convinced, so he lied to the outside world that he was a disciple of Zhang Jinghu of the Qing Gang.

At that time, there was a rule in the Green Gang called "quasi-charge is not allowed to be relied on". This means that you can pretend to be someone's disciple, but since you have confessed, in the future that person will have something to instruct you to do, and you cannot rely on it.
Zhang Jinghu already knew that Jin Rong was impersonating his apprentice and never said it.
Later, Zhang Jingqing had something to do, so he asked someone to find Jin Rong to do it, and Jin Rong did it, and Zhang Jinghu did not pursue it.
It was not until around 1924 that Jin Rong found an opportunity to worship Zhang Jinghu as a teacher and become a disciple of the "Tong" generation. However, some people say that Zhang refused to worship him on the grounds that "the tree has big roots and small roots".
One of the three tycoons
Zhang Xiaolin, who joined the gang as a "tong" character, later took the initiative to "leave the gang" because he did not abide by the gang rules. The so-called three tycoons of the Green Gang, the one who has really been sitting in the gang hall is Du Yuesheng alone.
Du Yuesheng came from an extremely humble background, he once entered a private school twice, and only attended a total of six months of school. Therefore, his early experience in dealing with the world was learned from the commentaries of Zhongyi. Sitting in the gang hall was once the proudest thing in his life.
When Chiang Kai-shek joined the Green Gang, he symbolically handed a protégé post to the gang hall.
Whoever he actually worships,
As long as this post is passed by the Green Gang, 80% of it is handed to the hands of Du Yuesheng, the sitting hall of the Green Gang.
Chiang Kai-shek originally did not take this matter seriously, but Du Yuesheng did not realize until the end: people only used him as a night pot. Chiang Kai-shek was a man who had stayed in the West, run newspapers, and could write articles on tofu blocks. How can you be an illiterate? Du Yuesheng was limited by his own thinking and had not considered this question at all.
All his life, Du Yuesheng only wanted to abide by the "rules" in the gang and make a windfall at will. When he took over the "red post" signed by Jiang Zhiqing, what he thought in his heart was: The brother will be his own family from now on! Therefore, among the three tycoons, only he unswervingly sided with Chiang Kai-shek.

Du Yuesheng was born at the bottom of society, because of the persecution of life, he chose to live a life of licking blood with a knife edge. After his career, he has always learned to wear a long shirt like a literati.
That's because he always knew that no one looked up to illiteracy.
Once upon a time
When Chiang Kai-shek did not have a trace, everyone mixed together and said that they were brothers, but when the brother became the "emperor", could he still be your brother? Moreover, the matter of worshiping the teacher is originally illusory, and there is no emotion to talk about. It was Du Yuesheng himself who did not want to understand.
Du Yuesheng just felt that it was inappropriate to collect the "red post" after Jiang's traces, and wanted to find an opportunity to return it to him, but he did not expect that Chiang Kai-shek had quietly stolen it.
After Japan's defeat, Du Yuesheng did not become mayor of Shanghai, but he did not ask Chiang Kai-shek.
After this incident he finally figured it out:
He was an "illiterate" who did not even understand the newspaper, and Chiang Kai-shek could not look at it at all.
Later, Du Yuesheng has always attached great importance to the education of his children.
Advise their children not to go underworld, not to engage in politics, and to let them learn to do business.
His eight sons and three daughters, except for the youngest son, died early, all went to the United States to study, and the third was also admitted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
