Feng Zhongyun is a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, born in 1908. Feng Zhongyun was born in a well-off family, joined him smart and clever, excellent academic performance, at the age of 15 was admitted to the predecessor of the current Hangzhou No. 2 High School Huilan Middle School to study. In 1926, he was admitted to the Department of Mathematics of Tsinghua University with excellent results, under the tutelage of Professor Xiong Qinglai, a famous mathematician in China, and was regarded as a proud student by Professor Xiong, if he went to engage in academic research, perhaps he would also become a great mathematician like Hua Luogeng, a disciple of the same disciple.
Feng Zhongyun's student years were in the era of anti-imperialist and anti-feudal awakening, as a hot-blooded young man, after receiving advanced ideas, he actively participated in it, and joined the party organization in 1927 and became the branch secretary of Tsinghua University.
However, the revolution was not all smooth sailing. Because the Right Wing of the Kuomintang betrayed the revolution, Feng Zhongyun was also arrested by Yan Xishan's troops stationed in Beijing for participating in party rallies. The ordeal in prison did not make Feng Zhongyun waver in the revolution, but he had a stronger belief. After his release from prison, due to the exposure of his identity, he could no longer stay in Beiping. Therefore, under the introduction of the professor of Tsinghua University, he came to the Harbin Merchant Marine School to teach, and from then on he began his underground party life in Harbin, and he successively served as the secretary general of the Manchurian Provincial Party Committee; the secretary general of the Provisional Provincial Party Committee of Northern Manchuria, the propaganda director, and the secretary general.
With the outbreak of the "918 Incident" in 1931, the revolutionary situation became more severe, first, the Central Soviet Region was being brutally encircled and suppressed by the enemy, and the northeast party organizations and the central authorities had lost normal contact; second, the party's activities had been cut off, and the provincial party committee needed to raise funds by itself. At this time, Feng Zhongyun, who was the secretary of the provincial party committee, took 180 foreign yuan out of his only 260 foreign yuan per month salary as a party fee to alleviate the financial pressure of the organization, and used his status as a professor to use his residence as an activity place for the provincial party committee.

Since then, Feng Zhongyun has successively served as a member of the Northeast Bureau, the chairman of the Songjiang Provincial Government, the chairman of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government and the president of Harbin Institute of Technology, the vice minister of water resources and the president of the East China Water Conservancy Institute.
As a joint general of the Anti-Japanese Resistance, Feng Zhongyun later did not work in the army, although he was not awarded a military rank, he was still awarded two medals, "Order of Independence and Freedom of the First Class" and "Order of August 1 of the First Class", and his historical merits will always exist in the world.
