Gao Houliang, a native of Xinxian County, Henan, born in 1915, joined the Red Army in 1932, served as a messenger in the Red Fourth Front, and after participating in the Long March, he served as an instructor of the Second Company of the Signal Battalion of the Central Military Commission and a staff officer of the General Headquarters of the Red Army. After the Red Army was reorganized into the Eighth Route Army, he served as a reconnaissance staff officer of the 771st Regiment of the 386 brigade of the 129th Division, and deputy commander and chief of staff of the Third Sub-district of Ji'nan. During the Liberation War, he served as chief of staff of the 14th Column and chief of staff of the 10th Army of the Third Corps of the Second Field Corps, and was awarded the rank of major general in 1955, and later served in the Air Force, and died on July 14, 2006, at the age of 91.
The chief of staff of the 11th Army was Yang Guoyu.
Yang Guoyu, a native of Yilong, Sichuan, born in 1914, joined the Red Army in 1933, served as a squad leader, platoon leader, translator and telegrapher in the Red Thirty-first Army of the Red Fourth Front, and after the victory of the Long March, he successively served as a translator and telegrapher of the confidential section of the headquarters of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the director of the Military and Political Department of the Headquarters of the Luyu Military Region in Jinji-Hebei, the director of the Military and Political Department of the Headquarters of the Central Plains Military Region, the deputy political commissar of the Transportation Command, and the chief of staff of the 11th Army of the Third Corps. He was awarded the rank of colonel in 1955, promoted to rear admiral in 1961, and later served in the Navy, where he died on April 27, 2000, at the age of 84.

Xiao Yongyin, a native of Xinxian County, Henan, born in 1917, joined the Red Army in 1930, served as the commander and platoon commander of the 28th Regiment of the 10th Division of the 4th Red Army, participated in the Long March, after the Red Army was reorganized into the Eighth Route Army, successively served as the commander and regimental commander of the first battalion of the 14th Regiment of the 385th Brigade of the 129th Division, the deputy commander of the 8th Subdistrict of Taihang, the commander of the 18th Brigade of the 6th Column of the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Field Army, and the deputy commander and chief of staff of the 12th Army of the 12th Army of the Third Corps. He was awarded the rank of major general in 1955 and has been serving in the army ever since, dying on 29 April 2002 at the age of 85.
