On the evening of December 24, meizhou municipal cultural center and meizhou intangible cultural heritage protection center held a "listen to mountain songs" music appreciation meeting in Meicheng, and literary and art experts and scholars from many parts of the province gathered in the Hakka ancient residence "Chengde Building" to share the feast of mountain songs.

The inheritors of Hakka mountain songs brought wonderful singing

It is reported that Hakka mountain songs, as a kind of Chinese folk song genre Zhongshan song, are known as the natural sounds of the "Book of Poetry" and the "living fossil of traditional Han songs", which is a kind of song that is more affectionate and free in Chinese folk songs. In 2006, "Meizhou Hakka Mountain Song" was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative list projects, under the great attention of governments at all levels and the strong support of all sectors of society, the inheritance, protection and development of "Meizhou Hakka Mountain Song" has achieved good results, and successfully selected as 50 national intangible cultural heritage projects of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The reporter also learned that the "Listen to Mountain Songs" appreciation meeting was a warm-up for the Meizhou Hakka Mountain Song Theory Seminar held on December 25. At that time, provincial and municipal literary and artistic experts and scholars in the field of Hakka mountain songs will jointly discuss the new path of protection, inheritance and development of Hakka mountain songs in Meizhou.
