Recently, the FE Formula E World Championships released its latest Season 7 Sustainability Report, detailing a series of notable achievements made and implemented by Formula E and its wider team, partners and stakeholders in terms of sustainability during the year, reflecting the race's revolution by accelerating electric vehicles.

The new Gen3 car, which will be raced in season nine, sets the benchmark for sustainable high-performance racing. As the most efficient race car in the world, 40% of the energy in gen3 era races comes from regeneration and will be certified as net zero carbon.

Fe Formula E became the first movement in the world to join the Scientific Goals Initiative (SBTi) and the Commitment of Business Ambition to achieve the 1.5°C commitment. By 2030, Formula E will also further reduce emissions by 45%.

A groundbreaking program was introduced to ensure that damaged site parts collected since the first season get a second life.

Formula E was recertified by ISO20121 in August this year and remains the only racing event to receive ISO 20121 certification since the original certification in 2016.

Launched on Heineken London in July 2021, The Heineken Greener Bar launched the first sustainable bar concept designed to reduce waste, water, emissions and energy use at events.

Formula E HAS RECEIVED THE HIGHEST THREE STAR RATING FROM THE FIA Environmental Certification Scheme for the third consecutive time, the first tournament to meet that standard.

Starting in season seven, the distribution of tyres for single races has been reduced by 25% and for double-end races by 50%. This saves up to 720 tires and reduces emissions by 29% compared to the fifth season.

Formula E became the first global sports organization to work with UNICEF to tackle climate change. The partnership will enable 3 million children around the world to become agents of change in the response to the climate crisis over the next three years.

Formula E is renewing NZC status by offsetting all of its unavoidable emissions from its seventh season into renewable energy projects in Mexico, bringing social benefits to local communities.
