DHL and Formula E announce an extended partnership to drive electric mobility, smart cities and low-carbon lifestyles.

Under the partnership agreement, DHL continues to be the official founding and logistics partner of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championships, transporting more than 415 tons of race equipment this season, including all race cars, batteries and charging devices, as well as broadcast equipment, and significantly improving transport efficiency and reducing carbon emissions through customized multimodal logistics solutions.

In 2021, DHL provides the most sustainable logistics for the Formula E World Championships. From the Valencia pre-season test match to the finale in Berlin, all land and sea transport used biofuels, offsetting carbon emissions from land and sea transport two years earlier than originally planned, reducing carbon emissions by 611 tons, equivalent to the carbon absorption of 49,000 trees.
