In August 1937, 15-year-old Guo Jimin wanted to join the army to fight devils, he had been beaten by the Kuomintang army passing by, he heard that the Eighth Route Army was good to the people, did not beat people, did not scold people, the Eighth Route Army recruited troops in Tuhe, close to his home, he ran to join the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army.
Guo Jimin is a native of Wanzhu Village, Zezhou County, Shanxi. After enlisting in the army, he served as a service soldier, a correspondent, a guard, and a guard squad leader in the 687th Regiment Headquarters of the 344th Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army. In 1942, Guo Jimin was transferred to Taiyue District with the troops, assigned to the Qinhe Detachment, and served as the squadron leader of the third squadron, in fact, his third squadron only had 30 people, and the troops only had a few rifles, that is, those old sleeves, and they were bayoneted with one shot. Many of the warriors did not even have weapons, but armed with red tassels and machetes. The Third Squadron slowly grew to fifty or sixty guns by snatching some guns from the hands of the Japanese, and its boldness grew.
Guo Jimin and his comrades-in-arms all went out to work at night, and their tasks were mainly to fight the Japanese, the Imperial Allied Forces, and the garrison. Once with the troops anti-"sweep", with the Japanese to fight the bayonet. He felt that the Hand of the Japanese was not as flexible as the hand of our army, but if he were to stab him, the devil would be quite powerful. Guo Jimin fought with a devil and stabbed him to death with ingenuity, but the devil's bayonet also stabbed into the palm of his hand, and it didn't grow well until half a year later, leaving a scar.
Once Guo Jimin and 30 people passed by the Beishi shop and encountered an underground party, who carried a jar with his shoulder and pretended to sell large sauce. He said that in February 1943, Guo Jimin was transferred to the special agent platoon of the Mechanical Cadre Regiment as a platoon leader. At one point, he took his assistant and three scouts to the vicinity of Jincheng to ask for food. When they entered the village, a post was placed on the east side of the village, and the people of the village were called to this temple for a meeting and told them how to deliver grain to the base area. This place was a occupied area, and there was a traitor in the village surnamed Dong who secretly ran to report to the Japanese pseudo-police. The enemy came and surrounded the five of them, unable to get out. The two machine guns on the shelves in the east and west are not possible to go out of the room on the south side.

After rushing out, go east to Jinpu Mountain, don't go west to the terrain is unfavorable! After saying that, Guo Jimin went out and opened the door, and the two of them threw grenades out together. As soon as the bomb exploded, the soil was so muddy that they couldn't see anything, so they rushed out and went up the mountain at this moment.
When they reached the mountain, the enemy attacked two or three times without attacking. They still had two or three rifles with them, so they shot at that row of guns, and the enemy couldn't figure out whether there were machine guns on the eighth road, so they didn't dare to charge. Guo Jimin and his comrades-in-arms did not eat for a day, so they picked up frozen ice cubes to eat. When it was dark, they divided into two groups, one from the north and one from the west, and said that they would meet on the south ridge after they had passed. They were not in their winter clothes, they were wearing single pants, and when they were running up the hill, they were cut by random trees, and everyone had blood on their calves. When he returned to the place where the troops lived, he found that a comrade had not followed, and Guo Jimin was tired and anxious, vomiting blood, so he immediately took three scouts with him and went down the mountain to look for them. On the way, it was found that the soldier had been killed by a cold gun, and Guo Jimin mobilized the local people to bury his comrades-in-arms. His legs hurt badly, his heart was beating wildly, and he lay in front of the graves of his comrades for a long time, shedding tears.
The soldiers carried Guo Jimin, who was seriously wounded and vomited blood, to Gaohui Village to rest, and later sent him to Yangcheng and Tuling to recuperate, and finally the troops sent a squad to carry him home on a stretcher and rest for a year. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1945, Guo Jimin was assigned to the Jincheng County Public Security Bureau and moved to the front line of struggle against the hidden enemy. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Guo Jimin continued to work in the public security system, retiring in 1984 and living in Wulong Street, Jincheng City. In 2015, the elderly Guo Jimin died at the age of 92.
