From theoretical answering, programming, to precision equipment adjustment, vibration frequency inspection, Liu Hui, who wears myopic glasses and a ponytail, is methodically carried out within the specified time. In the just-concluded national equipment inspection skills finals in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, this post-90s female "blue-collar" competed with 129 industry "masters" across the country, and was one of only 4 female players in the participating team.

With a lace-rimmed glasses on her face and a soft-spoken Liu Hui, this little girl's appearance is difficult for people to associate her with "blue-collar" work. But she is the "treasure" in the unit.

Liu Hui is a master's degree graduate in control science and engineering from Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, and has been working in North China Rare Earth High-tech Co., Ltd. for two years and is a technical backbone of the company. "When I was in college, there were fewer girls studying engineering, and after work, I found that there were very few girls engaged in 'blue-collar' work, like the number of boys in our automated section, and there were only 6 or 7 girls." Liu Hui stretched out her hands and counted the girls in the company.

According to Liu Hui, in the company, due to the scarcity of female technicians, several of them have naturally become the "treasures" of male colleagues, and if it is dangerous instrument adjustment or physical work, male colleagues will take the initiative to bear it. But many times, whether it is theoretical or technical operation, female colleagues are not left behind.

Participating in the national equipment inspection skills finals this time is the first time that Liu Hui has participated in such a national skills competition. "The competition treats all the players equally and doesn't discriminate because I'm a female player. Everyone is very strong, and the biggest gain of this competition is to know their own deficiencies and deficiencies, and to clarify the direction of future efforts. Liu Hui said.

When talking about her profession and work, Liu Hui seems to be like a changed person, showing a strong interest, she believes that the stereotype of the "blue-collar" group in society needs to be changed too much. "The traditional view is that technical jobs don't need to be too culturally literate. However, China's manufacturing industry has undergone great changes, and more comprehensive 'blue-collar' talents with high theoretical level and high cultural literacy are needed, and the demand for highly educated 'blue-collar' talents in the future will be more. Liu Hui said.

Under the company's arrangement, Liu Hui has participated in a number of work directions involving different research fields. For example, equipment inspection work, the need for sight, ear, nose, smell, hand touch, mouth taste of this "five senses", technicians need to fully mobilize the "five senses", and the use of some professional auxiliary tools, timely find and deal with equipment problems, extremely test the comprehensive ability of point inspection technicians. As a professional technician, Liu Hui believes that women also have advantages in such fields.

"Are female blue-collar workers easy to find a partner?" When faced with such a life problem, Liu Hui returned to a shy state: "Basically do not worry about finding a partner, my husband and I met in the university engineering class, like many of my female classmates and female colleagues who are also 'blue-collar', basically have been married." ”

At present, China has more than hundreds of millions of "blue-collar" people, high-educated "blue-collar" gradually increased, but the number of female high-educated "blue-collar" is still small, in the context of the upgrading of China's manufacturing industry, with the improvement of the working environment and salary level, will further attract more highly educated women to join the "blue-collar" army.
