British survey: People spend 180,000 yuan in their lifetime to buy electronic products

Recently, the e-commerce platform Back Market conducted a study on the consumption of electronic devices in the UK, surveying 2,000 adult respondents in the UK. The survey is about their consumption of electronic devices in their lifetime and their willingness to consume them.

According to the survey results, the average British person uses 21,000 pounds (about 180,000 yuan) to buy electronic equipment in their lifetime. The electronic devices are 16 mobile phones, 13 laptops, 13 stereos, 13 game consoles, 11 TVs and 11 cameras.

For this result, I think it may not apply to the vast majority of Chinese consumers, of which audio, game consoles, and cameras are still niche in China. The vast majority of people don't keep buying.

Based on the average of 60 years per person spent on consumer electronics, I think that the frequency of mobile phone updates is 3 years, the frequency of computer updates is 5 years, the frequency of TV updates is 5-10 years, the camera is 3-5 years, and the vast majority of people who buy audio and game consoles may not buy more than 3 times in their lifetime.

However, according to the habits of Chinese, the overall cost may be 150,000+. (Of course, if you can reasonably handle second-hand products, this cost should be effectively reduced)
