The institute is planning to the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", with a cumulative proven geological reserve of 1,000 billion square meters of natural gas, an annual output of 10 billion square meters of natural gas, and the dream of a teenager with a large oil and gas field of 10 million tons is about to come out.
From the cold winter of 1961, a comprehensive geological research team branded the first series of footprints on the swampy wasteland of Jianghan, and used blood and sweat to pry open the gate of the underground palace of the "vision" of oil. With the continuous extension of the development time, the resource discovery rate of the old Jianghan area has reached more than 60%, and the exploration objects have changed from the past tectonic reservoirs to lithologic reservoirs. Therefore, they took the "magnifying glass" and through "the re-understanding of the basin, the re-understanding of sedimentation, and the re-understanding of the accumulation of tibet" and "the determination of the zone, the fixed layer system, and the setting of the target", they adopted a large scale to compile geological maps such as formation and sandstone, refined the analysis and evaluation of small layers, selected small layers with good oil production conditions, found new exploration areas in the old areas, implemented a number of well positions, achieved the results of "breaking through new fields, breaking through new layer systems, and breaking through high yields", and played a high-yield well with a daily output of 50.2 tons that had not appeared for decades.
At the end of 2012, history pushed the Jianghan oil field to the forefront of shale gas, and they began to deal with a new field of unconventional shale gas. "The fuling shale gas field has complex geological conditions, sensitive ecological environment, and the difficulty of exploration and development is unprecedented. This is a big test for the institute. "The people of the institute resisted the pressure, concentrated on this new field, collected and sorted out various materials, seriously carried out basic research, strengthened the combination of "scientific research and production, indoor and on-site, control reduction and storage increase", and provided full-chain technical support for the development and construction of Fuling gas field; relying on major national projects, with the help of platforms such as the expert alliance innovation studio, postdoctoral workstation, and industry-university-research collaboration center, we promoted complementary advantages, resource sharing, and win-win cooperation, and continuously tackled the core technology of shale gas exploration and development. Accelerate the improvement and assembly of shale gas exploration and development technology series, and continuously enhance the core competitiveness of science and technology。 In 2017, as the main participant, the "Efficient Exploration and Development of Fuling Large-scale Marine Shale Gas Field" won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, which is the highest award for scientific research achievements since the founding of the Institute, and also achieved the highest honor for the scientific research project of Jianghan Oilfield.
From the beginning of its establishment to the present, the institute has conscientiously practiced the talent management concept of "talent revitalization, hospital revitalization talent, expert governance", improved the sequence of talent team position development, accelerated the construction of expert team, and formed a five-level expert sequence of 36 oilfield senior experts, oilfield experts, plant experts, chief experts, and deputy director experts. At the same time, we will give full play to the advantages of experts, vigorously carry out "expert cloud classrooms" and "expert front-line lines", and implement the "shift system" of experts, not only cultivating internal talents, but also sending knowledge to the front line.
