Infantino: Hopefully, Rome's Olympic Stadium will be renamed The Stadio Paolo Rossi

LIVE BAR Dec. 21 FIFA President Infantino has called on Italian authorities to rename Rome's Olympic Stadium after Paolo Rossi.

At today's press conference, Infantino said: "I hope that Roma's stadium will be named after him because of what he has achieved that deserves this treatment. ”

Paul Rossi was the 1982 World Cup Golden Boot, leading Italy to victory over West Germany in the final. During his national team career, Paul Rossi made 48 appearances and scored 20 goals. He passed away in December 2020 after a long illness.

During his club career, Paulo Rossi played for Juventus, Como, Vicenza, Perugia, Milan and Verona before retiring in 1987.
