According to reports, the series of books is positioned as a popular reading material to adapt to "reading for all", so that readers can get close to the classics, fully appreciate and feel the charm of China's excellent traditional culture and benefit from it; the variety of books in the series of books is diverse, which will fully display the classicism and diversity of Chinese traditional culture. The bibliography selects the classics of Chinese excellent traditional culture, not only selecting the classics of various schools familiar to readers, but also adding rare classics that are extremely valuable but not previously published (such as many excavated bamboo and shushu classics) to be sorted out and annotated; in terms of stylistic arrangement, the series of books will be equipped with guides, annotations (including the pronunciation of rare characters), and translations to solve the problem of difficult to read ancient texts; at the same time, it is planned to design the book as a 32-folio book for easy carry-on, and the layout can be completely flattened to enhance the reading experience.

Lou Yulie frankly said that the series of books should be simple, concise and enlightening, although it is not easy, it still depends on the joint efforts of colleagues. Nie Zhenning pointed out that this project meets the needs of "reading for all", which is exactly what the times need and readers need, and will inevitably contribute to the construction of a "bookish society" and the construction of a cultural power.

Li Zhonghua, vice president of the Chinese Culture Academy, said bluntly, "The popularization of humanities involves the connotation and extension of many concepts, which must be both popular and accurate, and may be more difficult than writing an academic work." He suggested that the bibliographic selection should be particularly careful while being inclusive, paying particular attention to being more accurate while popularizing.

Chen Lai, Wang Jie, Qian Zongwu, Cao Hongxin, Zhang Qicheng, Zhu Xiaojian and other heavyweight experts and scholars, as well as responsible persons of Qingdao Publishing Group, China Economic Publishing House, Nova Publishing House, and Hualing Publishing House attended the meeting.
