"Under the Bright House" - Ren Bento

When I was a child, I often heard people talk about "under the bright house", but the name of the building "Ren Ben Tang" was little known, and I never understood it in my heart. Recently, I learned the story from my elders, which made this fog that had puzzled me for many years clear, and also made me worship my ancestors even more!
Without a prominent name and without elegance, the simple RenBenTang is located in Dajiatang, a neighboring village. The building faces north and south, connecting Daoshan Academy (now Gaopi Middle School) in the north, facing men mountain (Shangyang Mountain) in the south by emerald green, dajiaxu city in the east, and green fields in the west. Renben Hall is a three-hall two-fall earthen building, covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters. The main building has four floors and is made up of two square earthen buildings of the same shape and six-room foothills. Two brothers who are connected by flesh and blood are never separated. The intentions of the ancestors can be described as good and bitter!
There are no carved beams and paintings, no cornices, and all ren ben tang has is the smell emanating from a golden loess wall. Walking into the building, the corridors are longitudinal and winding. The main building of Renbendo has a total of 48 rooms. Its lofty momentum stands majestically, like a broad mind and a lofty vision. Standing upstairs, as if standing on the shoulders of the predecessors. From the window, you can enjoy the beautiful view. As soon as the door closes, it is impenetrable.
The upstairs hall used to be a school for the children of the building. The childish sound of books drifted out of the stairs. The adult's face was relieved. Downstairs, at the foot of the ground, each placed rice pinwheel for residents to yang rice. Behind the main building is the horizontal building (rear building). There is a water fountain behind the horizontal building, and the water flow is leisurely. At night, under a clear moon, the sound of clothes pounding is often heard.
The turbulent current also contains a source of money. The former uncle and uncle went to the house after finishing the farm work, and after getting tired, they picked up the wooden basin and came to Zhenxi, squatting in rows and scrubbing clothes and washing vegetables, talking and laughing. This moving scene of laughter and noise is now never seen again!
In the wilderness behind Zhenzhen, there are several tall and tall camphor trees, eucalyptus trees and other trees, and together with RenBentang, they guard a group of people. In the hot summer, the tall trees bring a breeze and sway, bringing a cool breeze to the residents who have worked hard for a day. In the early morning, the sky is just dark, and the sparrows in the trees are chirping, urging people to get up early to welcome the new day!
These large trees have created infinite vitality for RenBentang. Unfortunately, when the people's commune was in place, in order to build the production team's grain flat, these towering trees were cut off alive. Across the trees are the bells and broadcasts of the Fourth Middle School (Gaopi Middle School). The crisp bells not only hit the students of the Fourth Middle School, but also struck the hearts of the residents of Renbentang. The bell has become the tense beat and accurate hour of people's lives. You don't need to pull out the right time to know the time. The children put away their playful thoughts, pulled out their benches, pulled out their school bags, opened the books, and consciously reviewed their homework. The song of the radio soothed the nervous nerves of the adults throughout the day, and filled the building with laughter. In those days of extreme scarcity, radio undoubtedly became a spiritual feast for people!
Flowing water, fresh wind, tall trees, birdsong, bells, radio, accompanied by countless people, leaving memories that will never be erased!
In order to allow each room in the main building to receive the sunlight, in front of the main building of Renbentang are two courtyard-style bungalows. Bright and clean, the sun and the moon are shining; fresh breath, cleansing the heart. The two courtyard-style buildings serve as kitchens for residents to cook and eat. The between the kitchens, wooden railings and flower windows, vertical lines, bright and transparent. The patio is flanked by water holes. The water of life is filtered by sedimentation and discharged cleanly out of the building. Everyone lives together as a family, and it is fun!
In front of the courtyard on the right is the hall of Renbendo. Hakka people said: There is a hall to sit down and talk! Its importance is self-evident, it is a place to distinguish between right and wrong, to be reasonable. The original plaque of poetry and calligraphy in the hall was destroyed when it was "broken four olds". The inscription is still painted on the wall. It was only after being covered with lime that it escaped. Most of them are still clear, and you can see the rhyme of that year.
Hall Xia Yang Lian: "Ren filial piety traces the family lineage, no slackness, no waste, gentle Dun Lun Ji Di Ji; the origin of the ancestral yin, there are rules and regulations, conscientious and virtuous and promised to rest." "This union is the soul of RenBentang, soaked in the affection of the ancestors." Mist and mist", dense clouds and mist; "Dun Lun", Dun Mu RenRen; "Conscientious", cautious, conscientious and responsible; "virtuous", pay attention to moral cultivation; "undertake rest", inherit the goodness and auspiciousness brought by the ancestors. Mr. Guo Yishan, a professor and famous scholar of Longyan College, commented that the association was "very graceful and elegant".
There are two inscriptions on the right wall of the hall, one of which reads: "Ploughing or reading, good is good, Xi Wu generation must be good; it is difficult to create, it is difficult to keep, it is not difficult to know the difficulty, it is not difficult to hope that Ercao should not be afraid of difficulties." "Like the words of an old man. There are also ink paintings by Sun of Ren Bentang on the wall, the contents of which are: Mandarin Garden Cabbage (Hundred Fortunes), Pine Crane Yannian, Magpie Singing Branches, Purple Swallow Double Flying, Golden Rooster Annunciation and so on. Although the age is separated, it is still vivid and jumps on the wall.
The hall is the center of the first floor. Red and white events and grand events are held here. During the New Year's Festival, people in the building will bring offerings and burn incense in the hall to worship the gods and sacrifice ancestors. The entrance to the hall is a patio, surrounded by bungalows, which can be used as a resident bath. In the corner, under the pillar, a pillar is installed for the people in the building to step on the mortar and enrich the life of the farmer. To the east of the patio is the entrance hall of the main entrance of Renbendo. The gate of Renbendo is facing the east where the sun rises, giving people hope and strength every day. Open the gate, the sun is shining, and in front of you is the self-retained mountain of Renbentang, Changkeng Mountain. Ren Ben Tang Gate Union: "Ren Mei and he are precious, and Ben Xing Dao is self-generated." The couplet is embedded in the name of the building, pointing out that the beauty of "benevolence" (fraternity) should be "and", and should be "and precious". There is a sentence in the Analects that reads, "Gentleman's business is the essence, the original is established and the Tao is born", which means that when the foundation is established, it is natural to grasp the truth of how to behave in the world. "And" as the main purpose, "and" as the foundation. And can produce wealth, and can be auspicious, pinned on the ancestors of the heart of the ardent.
The whole building of Renbentang is magnificent and unique. There is both the taste of the Five Phoenix Building and the wind of the courtyard, which enriches the content of the Yongding Tulou. It is constructed in the same pattern of left-right symmetry, with the auspicious "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang" and "Double Happiness Linmen". The whole building has five doors to communicate with the outside world, which means "Five Blessings Linmen". Ren Hondo promotes the cultivation of heirlooms, benevolence, filial piety, and nobility. His descendants have also always followed the ancestral precepts, done things conscientiously, and handled the world in a down-to-earth manner.
The descendants of Ren Bentang have moved out of Shangyang and have been through 29 generations, becoming the fastest breeding branch in Shangyang. The 15th Yuan Yigong first lived in the left Middle Tianyang of the Shangyang General Ancestral Hall, now known as the Central Dam. In the 52nd year of the Kangxi Dynasty, heavy rain fell from the sky, sudden floods, and houses collapsed. Gong and The Fourth Conspired to Build a Room in Dajiatang. Dajia Pond is named after the original pond in this area. In the era in which he lived at that time, the land was desolate and the four wildernesses were vast, and the hardships of Yuan Yigong's creation of Ren Hondo were difficult for people to imagine today. After several generations of hard work, to the 21st Lang Zhai Gong (mingyou hui, the character is high, Daoguang Nongchensheng), proficient in medicine, kind and benevolent, willing to be charitable, and good at both, and finally won the blessings. The Renben Hall of Matsumoto Bamboo Bud encountered the rare "Five Generations together".
As a National Student, Gao Lianggong has been brilliant since childhood. As an adult, he adhered to his ancestral inheritance and studied medicine. His hard work, diligent study and hard work, and eventually became a good doctor who saved the world and treated the sick and saved people, which was quite prestigious. He has a way to govern his family and a good way to teach his children. Follow the guidance of the industry for future generations, show their talents, and do their best. In particular, the number of ancestral doctors is spread throughout the counties. The medical ethics are high, the medical skills are exquisite, and the fame is a while. In 1911, the grandson of the Duke of Langzhai was born, and the Duke of Langzhai became the home of "five generations of the same church".
What is even more surprising is that such a large family of dozens of people, everyone actually lives on the first floor without separating the family, which is shocking! Every day, nearly ten tables of people sit around the family for three meals. Those who do not know think that they are guests or that they are having a wedding feast; they do not know that they have a large population, a huge family, and five generations under one roof. The fact that a large number of people can be so unselfish and peaceful in a harmonious manner shows the talent and prestige of the public. In history, the Chen family's "Yimen family" once had a famous fifteen generations of families, everyone ate and lived in the same village, known as "the first in the world". The Lang Zhai Gong of RenBen Tang has continued the wind of righteousness and has become a true "five generations of the same church", which makes people envious and famous!
The eldest son of The Duke of Langzhai, Duke Yancong, was shrewd and capable, and was in charge of housekeeping. The members of the family are from all walks of life, conscientious and conscientious, and perform their duties. The whole building respects the old and loves the young, cares for the whole family, and warms up. A large family, uncles and nephews, brothers and sisters, love each other, outsiders are disrespectful to the three feet. People nearby refused to believe it when they heard about it, and they came to explore the truth. After seeing it in person, they all shook their heads in admiration! "Under the bright house" has become synonymous with "filial piety, harmony, unity and good example" that people hang on their lips!
Since then, the name of "highlighting" has been loud, and the name of "highlighting under the house" has been passed down!
The fact that Ren Bentang can have this blessing is superficially a good way to govern the family, but in fact, it is related to the fact that its ancestors have always paid attention to moral cultivation and built a family style of benevolence, filial piety, kindness and diligence. Today's Ren Hondo, the children and grandchildren are more extensive, and all walks of life are also successful. Famous university students, doctoral students, and international students continue to emerge. Influenced by the ancestors, there are still many descendants who practice medicine and become teachers. This sacred office is also caused by family style.
There are very few people who can live in the same house for five generations, and it is even rarer that five generations can live together in the same family, dozens of people get along day and night, and those who are still inseparable from the United States and the United States are even rarer, and it is difficult to hear. RenBentang, an ordinary building, hides unusual stories. Its traditional virtues and excellent family style should not be forgotten, and it is worth inheriting from future generations!
