The local persimmon as a medium, through the persimmon picking, persimmon king selection and other activities to attract tourists from all over the world, and promote farmers to deep process persimmon cakes, so that persimmons become an important pillar industry for farmers to increase income.
Last week, the weather was sunny, and Wang Fuping, a citizen of Fuzhou, drove for more than 4 hours to Yongding to collect wind. In front of the Yanxiang Building in Xinnan Village, Hukeng Town, rows of bright red persimmons attracted his attention. Early the next morning, Wang Fuping followed Li Caiqing and his family to the orchard early in the morning, where persimmon farmers were busy picking, packing, and packing boxes, and a merchant truck from Guangdong was parked aside waiting for shipment.
Li Caiqing said that her family has planted a total of more than a dozen acres of Yongding tomatoes, which can pick about 750 kilograms per day, because this year's climate is good, properly managed, and the quality and yield of persimmons this year are very good, all have been ordered, and the purchase price is also very good.
"You can buy 20,000 to 30,000 catties of persimmons every day, and you have received 300,000 catties so far." Li Xiongchang, head of the persimmon acquisition point in Louxia Village, Hukeng Town, introduced that the recently acquired late persimmon is mainly used for processing persimmon cakes, and 5 kilograms of persimmons are processed for 1 kilogram of persimmon cakes, and the price of persimmon cakes per kilogram is about 18 yuan.
At the persimmon cake processing factory in Aoji Village, Hukeng Town, Yongding District, persimmon farmers process the persimmons they have purchased into persimmon cakes. Huang Shangju, the head of the factory, introduced that the persimmon cake has been from October to the end of December, which requires about 280,000 kilograms of persimmons, and there are almost 50,000 kilograms of persimmon cakes. This year, more than 10,000 kilograms of persimmon cakes have been produced, mainly sold to Guangdong, Xiamen, Zhangzhou and other places.
It is understood that in addition to promoting the deep processing of persimmon cakes by farmers and making persimmons an important pillar industry for farmers to increase income, in recent years, Yongding District has also promoted local tourism and villagers' employment by holding theme activities such as persimmon picking, processing, and persimmon king selection.
