According to reports, Apple is setting up a new office in Irvine City, California, near Los Angeles, and recruitment information shows that it will be a research and development center for wireless chips such as baseband, radio frequency, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
Apple's self-developed baseband has long been no secret, but this time vigorously involved in PA (radio frequency power amplifier), Bluetooth Wi-Fi and other fields, obviously to further get rid of the dependence on external suppliers, including but not limited to Skyworks (Scarlett), Qorvo, Broadcom, Qualcomm and so on.

Many signs show that Apple's self-developed 5G baseband, PA and other full wireless solutions are expected to be applied on the iPhone as soon as 2023, Qualcomm has previously clearly pointed out that only 20% of the 2023 iPhone baseband is supplied by Qualcomm.
