He served as chief of staff to Sun Yat-sen four times and was appointed commander-in-chief of the Northern Expeditionary Army, but he did something wrong in his later years

Speaking of the commander-in-chief of the Northern Expeditionary Army, everyone will definitely say, isn't that Jiang Guangtou? Non also. The commander-in-chief of the Northern Expeditionary Army, Chiang Kai-shek, was not appointed by Sun Yat-sen, who had already begun the Northern Expedition before his death, and the commander-in-chief of the Northern Expeditionary Army he appointed was Li Liejun.

Li Liejun is a native of Wuning, Jiangxi, a glorious name written into history textbooks. When Sun Yat-sen launched the "Second Revolution," Li Liejun was the first to respond, ascending to a high position and calling for help. So, who is Li Liejun? What happened to his later life?

Li Liejun is definitely a die-hard fan of Sun Yat-sen, much more iron than Chiang Kai-shek. In the history of the Republic of China, Li Liejun served as the chief of staff of Sun Yat-sen four times. In 1917, Sun Yat-sen launched the Dharma Protection Movement and was elected Grand Marshal of the Navy and Army of the Republic of China Military Government.

Sun Yat-sen appointed Li Liejun as chief of staff of the Grand Marshal's Office. Later, Li Liejun also acted as Grand Marshal sun Yat-sen. In 1921, Sun Yat-sen became the great president of the Republic of China, and Li Liejun was appointed chief of staff for the second time.

At the end of the year, Sun Yat-sen set up the base camp of the Northern Expedition and appointed Li Liejun as the chief of staff of the base camp. This is li liejun's third time as chief of staff. After the failure of the Second Dharma Protection Movement, Sun Yat-sen rebuilt the Grand Marshal's Office, and Li Liejun was appointed chief of staff of the Grand Marshal for the fourth time.

This is Li Liejun. He was definitely the most relied upon famous general of Sun Yat-sen's year. Li Liejun is as his name suggests, very strong. Yuan Shikai once bribed him with two million yuan, but Li Liejun sternly refused, and also called Yuan Shikai an ugly. Yuan Shikai, enraged, cut off his arms in Jiangxi.

Later, Duan Qirui also wanted to bribe him and send someone to send him a million current oceans. Li Liejun unceremoniously accepted it. After receiving Duan Qirui's money, he did not say that Duan Qirui was good, but instead piled it up in the Marshal's Palace, invited xianda from all walks of life to come and visit, and publicized Duan Qirui's ugly deeds.

It can be said that Li Liejun was loyal to Sun Yat-sen and had a taste of a soldier dying for his confidant. Sun Yat-sen wanted to launch a "second revolution," knowing that the enemy was outnumbered and outnumbered, and Li Liejun resolutely fired the first shot. Afterwards, he was wanted by Yuan Shikai and had to go into exile. Yuan Shikai issued a reward order, as long as Li Liejun is caught, whether alive or dead, a reward of 20,000 yuan will be awarded.

Of course, Li Liejun also has his own principles, and he does not blindly follow Sun Yat-sen. Sun Yat-sen formed the Chinese Revolutionary Party and demanded that every party member must swear allegiance to Sun Yat-sen according to his fingerprints, but Li Liejun refused at the time. He believes that this is not the style that the Republic of China should have.

However, in order to please Yuan's overall situation, Li Liejun still joined the Chinese Revolutionary Party. What is the relationship between Li Liejun and Chiang Kai-shek, the so-called "heavenly son of heaven and one courtier"? Li Liejun admired Chiang Kai-shek very much and tried his best to recommend Chiang Kai-shek to Sun Yat-sen as the principal of the Whampoa Military Academy.

After Sun Yat-sen's death, Chiang Kai-shek raised the banner of the Northern Expedition, and Li Liejun advised Chiang Kai-shek to set the capital at Nanjing as soon as possible. It should be said that Li Liejun supported Chiang Kai-shek, but Chiang Kai-shek was very cold to him. After the establishment of the National Government in Nanjing, Li Liejun was idle for a long time, and could only put forward some suggestions that were also mentioned in vain.

For example, after the outbreak of the September 18 Incident, Li Liejun suggested that Chiang Kai-shek resist Japan and sent all five of his sons to join the army. But Chiang Kai-shek was indifferent. Feng Yuxiang organized the Chahar People's Anti-Japanese Allied Army, and Li Liejun suggested that Chiang Kai-shek should reuse Feng Yuxiang, but Chiang Kai-shek did the opposite and demolished Feng Yuxiang's platform.

It can be said that in the era of Chiang Kai-shek, Li Liejun had become a fan after the autumn, and no one cared about it or ignored him. Chiang Kai-shek only let him do one thing, which is not a glorious thing. What's the matter? After the Xi'an Incident was peacefully resolved, Zhang Xueliang personally sent Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing.

As soon as he arrived in Nanjing, Chiang Kai-shek detained Zhang Xueliang and organized a court trial, and the presiding judge at that time was Li Liejun. History proves that Zhang Xueliang is innocent and a meritorious person. However, Li Liejun, in accordance with Chiang Kai-shek's will, sentenced Zhang Xueliang to ten years in prison.

Because of this matter, Li Liejunjin was a general. Unfortunately, this should be the biggest failure of Li Liejun's life. In 1946, Li Liejun, who was confused for a while, died of illness at the age of 64.
