The reproduction of life through thorns, the beautiful and melodious music melody, the stage presentation with a very modern aesthetic, the dance drama revolves around Xian Xinghai's revolutionary story, emotional story, life story, creation story, etc., and looks back on xian Xinghai's inner perspective at the time of his death, so that the audience not only understands the creative story behind the "Yellow River Chorus", but also re-understands a flesh-and-blood and firm belief "people's artist" in an all-round and three-dimensional way, and vividly stands on the stage the heroic group portraits of communist party members who have forgotten their dedication and always maintained their original intentions.

A strong beam of light illuminates the orchestra pit, the surging melody is passionate, and the cinematic texture of the picture brings a strong visual impact, which is fascinating. Xian Xinghai (Wei Shenzhou) slowly rises from the orchestra pit, directing the music of life between heaven and earth, light and shadow illuminate the back of Wei An, the corners of the clothes flutter, and the sense of sculpture arises spontaneously.
In the first act, "The Sea", Xian Xinghai begins his "dying dream". In the snow-capped Moscow, Xian Xinghai was lying prone to his hospital bed and writing a book.
The hospital bed becomes a sail for wandering in the long river of life, relatives and friends appear one by one, and the stage background of the sky full of stars and blue sea symbolizes Xian Xinghai's fisherman's origin, recalling the beautiful parent-child time spent with his mother (Wang Yu).
In the sails of the boats held up by everyone, he danced romantically, swam freely, and dreamed of returning to the "sea boy" with a brisk melody.
The young Xian Xinghai danced with music and dreams in the sound of the waves, and the majestic and powerful men's group dance highlighted the strong and tenacious character.

In "The Winds of Paris", a virtual concert hall constitutes Xian Xinghai's inner space as a musician. He conducted fanatically, exerting all his passion and talent, and finally won the approval of the musician Paul Ducas (Wang Zheng), determined to make music rooted in China.
In the second act, "Torrent", the stage is impressively displayed two triangular structures formed by the high wall, in the melody of the old Shanghai charm, the glimmer of "Fate" (Li Yu) guides Xian Xinghai through the high wall to begin to "seek" the road to national salvation.
Revolutionary slogans such as "The head of the national disaster has the responsibility" and "Defend all of China" are projected at the back of the stage, and Guang Weiran (He Jiang), Yuan Muzhi (Sun Rui), Seke (Yan Hanyi), Zhang Shu (Wang Zheng), Xia Zhiqiu (Xia), and Sha Mei (Yang Fengshan) are a group of aspiring young people who compose Chinese indomitable in the name of music. In the third act, "Homeland", at this time, the saplings on the stage have grown into towering trees, symbolizing that Xian Xinghai has become a pillar of talent. In the background of the war, Xian Xinghai wandered the streets alone, showing the state of mind of standing alone in another country and returning to his hometown. He insists on creating, meets the noble baikadamov (sun rui), and watches Baikadamov reunite with Danash (Lin Ye) and Kariya (Liu Guzexin) and the family, and he misses the motherland and relatives and friends more and more.
He hovered outside the borders, his swinging metronome constantly making a "ticking" sound, as if counting down to the music of life.
Xian Xinghai recalls his life, travel suitcases, manuscripts, washbasins, paper airplanes, paper boats, batons and other items symbolizing his wife, mother, daughter, revolutionary comrades-in-arms, and teachers and friends (Hewen as Xiao Youmei) surround him, but they are ruthlessly taken away by "fate", which is highly symbolic of his farewell to his relatives.
The "national border" of a human wall formed by more than 20 group dancers blocks the "home that cannot go back". Xian Xinghai repeatedly climbed the slope of the triangular structural device, trying to grasp the red line that symbolized the national border, but repeatedly slipped, dyed and struggled, and was gripping.
The giant device hanging above the stage is the hour hand of life, the baton in the hands of musicians, and it means an immortal monument. The hour hand and the human wall rotate clockwise, and Xian Xinghai is still creating at the last moment of his life. Behind the stage, the strong light was directly illuminated and the clouds were swirling, and "Fate" took the pen in his hand, and the hour hand turned to the zero point, and Xian Xinghai's life also came to an end.
Although life is far away, faith is eternal, a red sun is rising, and the masses are moving firmly toward hope. The motherland was reborn, the revolution was victorious, and the magnificent and powerful group dance echoed like the roar of the Yellow River for a long time, inspiring the Chinese people to be full of faith and strive to be strong.

In order to provide high-quality stage presentation, the crew of the dance drama "Xian Xinghai" conducted a closed rehearsal for nearly four months at the Taihu Stage Art Center of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, striving for excellence and repeated polishing.
On the 19th and 21st, the chief actors of Ningbo Song and Dance Theater, Xia Xia and Wang Yufen, will play Xian Xinghai and his wife, and the actors Lin Ye, Qiu Zhehao, Zou Baoyi will play their mother, Xia Zhiqiu and Danash, and other major actors will continue to bring wonderful performances to the audience.
