General Secretary Xi Jinping attended the conference and delivered an important speech, stressing that over the past one hundred years, the party has led the literary and artistic front to continuously explore and practice, and has embarked on a path of literary and artistic development guided by Marxism, in line with China's national conditions and cultural traditions, and exalting the people's nature, which has pointed out the way forward for the prosperity and development of China's literature and art.

Literature and art are the clarion call of the times, which can best represent the style of an era and the atmosphere of an era. Realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is a great cause that shakes the past and the present, and it requires a great spirit of perseverance and great works that inspire people's hearts. Raising the spiritual banner, erecting the spiritual pillar, and building a spiritual homeland are inseparable from literature and art. To realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we must make full use of literature and art to lead the fashion of the times, gather great forces, guide the people to establish and adhere to a correct outlook on history, nationality, country, and culture, and enhance the backbone and confidence of being a Chinese.

Excellent literary and artistic works are the needs of the times. The great changes in the world today that have not occurred in a hundred years are accelerating their evolution, the world situation is full of twists and turns, various cultural trends of thought are stirring each other, the competition for cultural discourse power is becoming more and more fierce, and the magnificent era calls for the continuous emergence of literary and artistic masterpieces. Literature and art are the products of the times, and any classic literary and artistic works are the portrayal of artists singing the times and leading the times in a specific era environment. Whether in the East or the West, every era has iconic literary and artistic works, and excellent literary and artistic works are the storms of the times after precipitation. China's Han Fu, Tang poetry, Song Ci, Yuan Qu and Ming and Qing novels all have the unique imprint of the times. Comrade Mao Zedong's speech at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art concentrated on the highest achievements of the sinicization, modernization and popularization of Marxist literary and art theory in the 1940s. The "Yellow River Chorus", composed by Guang Weiran and composed by Xian Xinghai, is a successful artistic practice, and with its high degree of perfect unity of artistry and ideology, it has not only been widely welcomed and warmly praised by the military and people of Yan'an, but also welcomed by Chinese people at home and abroad. In recent years, the film and television drama "The Age of Awakening", the variety show "Chinese Poetry Conference", "Readers", "National Treasure", the feature film "Forever on the Road", the documentary "China on the Tip of the Tongue", etc., have profoundly reflected the style of the era of reform and opening up, deeply sensed the theme of the times and the voice of the people, and enabled people to receive education in the appreciation of beauty. Literary and art workers should closely follow the trend of the times, grasp the needs of the people, write for the people, lyrically for the people, and lyrically for the people, create more outstanding works that the people like to hear, and constantly enrich the people's spiritual world and enhance the people's spiritual strength.

Excellent literary and artistic works are the needs of building a socialist cultural power. Outstanding literary and artistic works reflect the cultural creativity and level of a country and a nation. Literary and artistic masterpieces can represent a country and nation on the global literary and artistic stage to participate in cultural exchanges and competition, and the continuous emergence of literary and artistic masterpieces reflects the level of development of a country's cultural productive forces and the degree of classicization of a country's national literature and art. Being able to produce a large number of literary and artistic works of first-class quality is an important symbol of a cultural power. Literature and art is an important means of condensing social consensus and cultivating and practicing the core values of socialism, and it is fun and educational, imperceptible, and easy to be accepted, and the role of literature and art in cultivating and practicing the core values of socialism is difficult to replace by other educational methods.

To realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we need the great development of material civilization, the great development of spiritual civilization, and even more the need for literature and art to show the spirit of the times. To meet the people's growing needs for a better life, literature and art are an important content; to overcome various risks and challenges on the way forward, literature and art are an important force.
