"Investing in Shanghai depends on the next five or ten years, and we are optimistic about the future here." CapitaLand China's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr Yeung Chin Fu, said this on the eve of the third meeting of the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Partnership Council.

On December 16, the third meeting of the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Cooperation Council was held by video link, and the relevant departments, institutions and enterprises in Shanghai and Singapore signed memorandums of cooperation in the fields of scientific and technological innovation, finance, economy and trade commerce, and people-to-people exchanges. According to Yang Qinfu, Shanghai is one of the first cities for CapitaLand to enter China, as well as the headquarters and core business city of CapitaLand in China. At present, CapitaLand manages nearly 50 projects in Shanghai, covering residential, office buildings, shopping malls, commercial complexes, serviced apartments, as well as new economy assets (including industrial parks, logistics and data centers).

"CapitaLand's entry into Shanghai is equivalent to building a bridge for Singaporean enterprises to enter China, and now some of the Singapore brands that are stationed in Raffles City are following capitaland in this mall, and we hope to maintain this bridge between Singapore and China, and also lead Chinese brands to Singapore in the future." Yang Qinfu said that he is more looking forward to the convening of the Shanghai New Council to bring some new cooperation projects and open up new investment ideas, "Many Singaporean brands want to enter the Chinese market, and Shanghai is the first choice." We would also be happy to get involved if there are new projects. ”

In addition to CapitaLand, Which is deeply rooted in China, Raffles Healthcare Singapore has also chosen to land its flagship hospital in Shanghai.

Xie Fengcai said, "The preliminary construction and opening stages, including the acquisition of the Medical Institution Practice Permit, are inseparable from the support and guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Pudong New Area Government and the Health Commission, from the process of handling the work to the pre-opening approval, their help makes us full of confidence in doing this." In the future, we also hope to expand more opportunities in China, and we see such possibilities. ”
