Russia broadcasts the First Chinese Cartoon "Journey to the West"

On December 12, local time, the condensed version of the 7-episode Russian-language animation "Journey to the West" launched by the Central Radio and Television Corporation was broadcast for the first time on the Russian new media platform.

"Journey to the West" is one of the four classical masterpieces in China, telling the mythical story of tang monks, Sun Wukong and other four masters and apprentices who went through hardships and searched for the true scriptures. The Russian-language version of the cartoon "Journey to the West" debuted in Russia and will be broadcast for 7 consecutive days on new media platforms such as the OTT and IPTV platforms of SPB TV, the Russian RVISION YouTube channel and the "China Zone" YouTube Russian channel. The Chinese-Russian headline client and the official website of the CGTN Russian channel will also be broadcast simultaneously.

Recently, in order to deepen the understanding of the theme culture of "Journey to the West" by Russian audiences, especially young people, the Chinese-Russian bilingual version of "Journey to the West" interactive book produced by the general station entered the classroom of the Russian Cultural Center and was well received and loved by Russian teachers and students.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation. In the joint statement, the two countries reaffirmed their great importance to extensive exchanges in the field of humanities, including promoting the exchange of classical literary works between China and Russia and the exchange of television programs.
