Stalin was a highly controversial figure, and to this day, his scolding is incessant. After Stalin's successor, Khrushchev, came to power, he immediately entered a great liquidation of Stalin and completely rejected Stalin. Finally, the People's Congress decided to remove Stalin's body from Lenin's tomb. On the night of October 31, 1961, Stalin's body was removed from Lenin's Mausoleum, and soldiers carried down the crystal coffin containing Stalin's body with all hands and feet, removed the well-preserved corpse, replaced the gold buttons on the clothes with brass, and put them in a wet, rough coffin.
They then threw the coffin into a deep pit at the foot of the Kremlin, and then a heavy truck poured a truck full of cement on Stalin's coffin, and within minutes it was finished. A white marble slab was erected on it, and it simply read: "Joseph Vesalionovich Stalin, 1879-1953". During the Brezhnev era, Stalin's merits and demerits were re-evaluated, and it was finally decided to erect a bust for him and move the remains into the tombs of 12 leaders of the CPSU Central Committee outside the Kremlin walls.
