As world of warcraft 9.2 tests progressed, a large number of plots surfaced, including the birth of the next arbiter, and Blizzard unsurprisingly chose the most "safe" way to deal with the fate of Pelagos, The first transgender character of Warcraft.

9.2 "The End of Eternity" is the final chapter of the 9.0 series of stories, in the Shadow Kingdom, where the Arbiter is responsible for assigning souls to the afterlife. As the former arbiter was destroyed by the warden Zovar, the fledgling Perlagos voluntarily assumed responsibility. In the 9.2 cutscene, Pelargos accepts the arrangement of fate, evolves new entities, and becomes a tall and elegant arbiter. In the anime, he also jokes with other NPCs, saying that he still retains his personality.
This is different from the data mined in the previous data, and it is believed that Peragos evolved at the expense of himself (the disappearance of the ontology and personality, promoting the birth of a new arbiter), and eventually changed back to the female form. Because the arbiter has always appeared in a feminine image, the title also uses female pronouns. After the data was exposed, this caused unanimous criticism in the community, and the LGBTQ+ community was indignant. Peragos is the first transgender character in Warcraft, who was female during his lifetime and chose to become male after his death. It is very politically incorrect to let a "queer" character like Perlagos die and return to "its original form".
Now that the anger has subsided, because in fact, the revised Pelargos has retained not only a masculine image, but also his own personality, essentially becoming a powerful "grim reaper" rather than sacrificing himself, and the LGBTQ+ community members are satisfied with the results.
However, players are less satisfied with the pace of the story, as the NPC can only be known by choosing the Kirian Covenant, including the discovery of his transgender identity. Some argue that other protagonists, such as Sylvanas, Uther or Anduin, are the better choices for the next arbiter.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is available on PC. 9.2 The End of Eternity is still being tested.
