According to the genealogy of the Yang family, we know that the first generation of the Yang family is the "Golden Dao of the Marquis of Jintai" Yang Hui, the second generation is the "Volcano King" Yang Gun, and Yang Si (the prototype of the Yang family general Qilang), and the third generation is the famous general Yang Ye of the Northern Song Dynasty. Yang Ye was originally a general of the Northern Han Dynasty, known for his bravery and good fighting, charging into the battlefield and being invincible. In 979, Emperor Taizong of Song conquered the Northern Han Dynasty, and because of Yang Ye's fame, Emperor Taizong of Song loved cai and once spent a large reward to find Yang Ye's whereabouts.
After the destruction of the Northern Han Dynasty, Emperor Taizong of Song persuaded Yang Ye to surrender and appoint him as the Assassin of Zhengzhou to train soldiers and horses. Because of Yang Ye's great military achievements, it was natural that he could not avoid the hatred of the courtiers, but Song Taizong had great trust in Yang Ye, and whenever he saw the recital of framing Yang Ye, he packed it up and sealed it and gave it to Yang Ye, which made Yang Ye feel very moved. In 986, Emperor Taizong of Song believed that the time had come and decided to carry out the Northern Expedition to the Liao State, which was the famous "Yongxi Northern Expedition" in history. However, this Northern Expedition was defeated because of the internal struggle of the Northern Song generals, Yang Ye's second son Yang Yanyu was killed in battle, and Yang Ye was also captured because he wanted to escort the people to move inland, and finally resolutely did not surrender, and died of hunger strike.
According to the "History of Song", Yang Ye had seven sons, namely Yanlang, Yanpu, Yanxun, Yanyu, Yanghuan, Yangui, and Yanbin, and the commentaries in the late Qing Dynasty called Yang Ye's family "Seven Langs and Eight Tigers". According to him, in the last years of the Song Dynasty, the Mongol army attacked vigorously, the Yang family was endlessly pursued by the Yuan army, and the Yang family had to flee in four ways, and Yang Kaihua's ancestors were the ones who fled to Sichuan.
