Wang Genying was the first wife of General Chen Geng and died in the anti-Japanese battlefield in 1939; Fu Ya was the second wife of the general, who died on January 4, 2010.

It may be difficult for those who do not know what is going on to understand that, according to the usual "secular conception", it is impossible for a general to be buried with two ladies.

What is even more difficult to understand is that the person who first proposed the idea of this joint burial was fu Ya.

On March 16, 1961, General Chen Geng died in Shanghai, and his ashes were placed in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery;

Earlier, the remains of the martyr Wang Genying were buried in the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Martyrs Cemetery in Handan, Hebei Province.

In the life of General Chen Geng, he once had two wives, one was Wang Genying, who did not let his eyebrows be shaved, and the other was Fu Ya, who was broad-minded and affectionate and righteous.

In fact, when General Chen Geng was 14 years old, the Chen family arranged a marriage for him.

The bride's name is Chen Bijun, two years older than him, the family is well-off, and the two families are considered to be "door to door".

However, the trendy Chen Geng did not want to live like this for a lifetime, and on the wedding night, Chen Geng resolutely ran away from home.

In 1923, Chen Geng met Wang Genying in Shanghai, who had since been associated with him.

At that time, Chen Geng's public identity was that of a teacher at the workers' night school, and Wang Genying was a student of the night school.

Chen Geng's lectures were popular and vivid, and there was no lack of humor and humor, and Wang Genying was full of admiration and admiration for this young and erudite "sir".

In the spare time, the lively and active Chen Geng mingled with the students again.

Among the many students, Chen Geng paid attention to Wang Genying, who was young and beautiful and generous, and Wang Genying also had a good feeling for Chen Geng.

Chen Geng had visited Wang Genying's parents several times in the "shantytown", and the two elderly people also liked this heroic young man very much.

However, Chen Geng did not dare to confess his heart to Wang Genying until 1927, when Chen Geng and Wang Genying attended the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Wuhan, Chen Geng plucked up the courage to take the first step.

At a meeting, Chen Geng handed Wang Genying a note with a neat and neat writing: "Comrade Wang Genying, I solemnly propose to you, I love you, and I hope you will marry me!" ”

Although Wang Genying secretly liked Chen Geng in her heart, Chen Geng's courtship method was so direct that it was difficult for her to accept it for a while.

Therefore, Wang Genying conveniently pasted the note written by Chen Geng on the wall next to him.

Who knew that Chen Geng refused to give up, and handed Wang Genying a note: Comrade Wang Genying, I ask you to accept my request and be my wife!

Wang Genying still did not save "face" for Chen Geng and pasted the note on the wall.

Chen Geng was anxious, and wrote a note again, and the "tone" of courtship was getting higher and higher: Comrade Wang Genying, I swear that I will marry you, and I will never give up until I reach my goal!

However, as soon as Chen Geng's note was handed over, Wang Genying didn't even look at it, and directly pasted it on the wall.

When the meeting break came, everyone gathered around and laughed and watched Chen Geng's "courtship letter" with laughter.

A comrade asked Wang Genying: "If you do this, will Comrade Chen Geng be too embarrassed?" Do you agree or disagree? ”

Wang Genying said without question: "He is also too that, so confident, as if I have to marry him..."

After hearing this, Chen Geng said happily: "I see that she will not reject me, I proposed to her, I am open and upright, and I am not afraid of others knowing!" ”

The news of Chen Geng's "courtship letter" on the wall immediately spread among the delegates attending the meeting.

The old leader Zhou Gong pointed out to Chen Geng in this way: Love is an art, and courtship should talk about strategy.

Sister Deng was also very optimistic about this pair of young people, she personally came forward to find Wang Genying, three words and two words, Wang Genying shyly nodded her head and agreed.

As soon as the meeting ended, Chen Geng and Wang Genying married in Wuhan and became a revolutionary couple.

Soon after the new marriage, Chen Geng followed Zhou Gong to Nanchang, where he raised funds and participated in the Nanchang Uprising.

During the Battle of Huichang, Chen Geng was seriously wounded, escaped from death, and returned to Shanghai after all kinds of difficulties, and the couple was able to reunite.

In September 1931, Chen Geng was sent to work in the Eyu-Anhui Red Fourth Front, while Wang Genying stayed in Shanghai with his son and continued to work underground in the party.

In the autumn of 1938, Wang Genying was ordered to come to Shanxi, and in the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, she served as a political instructor for the School of Financial and Economic Cadres.

During this time, Chen Geng and Wang Genying finally had the opportunity to live together and spent an unforgettable and warm time.

However, on March 8, 1939, Wang Genying's unit was suddenly attacked by the enemy.

After Wang Genying broke through the siege with the guard troops, in order to retrieve the satchel containing documents and public funds, she resolutely decided to break back into the encirclement, unfortunately hit by Japanese machine guns and died immediately.

When Wang Genying was sacrificed, Chen Gengzheng led the 386th Brigade across the Pinghan Line, and when he learned the bad news, Chen Geng suddenly froze, and the tears could not stop falling...

Chen Geng wrote a sentence in his diary on that day: "Today is a day that I must not forget, and it is also the day that I am most miserable." ”

Chen Geng swore: I will keep the festival for her for three years!

Another thing, at the beginning of each month, Fu Ya would personally go to the post office and send living expenses to Wang Genying's mother in Shanghai, rain or shine, uninterrupted, until the old man died.

In addition, Fu Ya also regarded Wang Genying's sister Wang Xuanmei as a sister and tried her best to take care of her in life and work.
