In an instant, the Han Wen Emperor's tomb was found to be instantly on the hot search, archaeology has always been more partial, why is the Han Wen Emperor's tomb on the hot search, what historical mystery can be solved?

Emperor Wen of Han's tomb was discovered why it was on the hot search
"The great tomb of Bailuyuan Jiangcun in Xi'an City is the tomb of emperor Wen of Han", as soon as this heavy news came out, the Internet was immediately full of joy. This topic has also been on Weibo hot search, according to statistics, in just one day, the number of reads reached 360 million, and more than 30,000 were discussed. Once mysterious archaeological excavations are now stepping out of the ivory tower and towards the general public.
Why was the Tomb of Emperor Wen of Han found to be on the hot search? First of all, the title is very attractive, overturning the millennium puzzle, because the Yuan Ming and Qing dynasties have always believed that the Baling tomb is in the "mouth of the phoenix". This archaeological discovery confirms that the 'Phoenix Mouth' is a tomb that has been falsely rumored by later generations. Jiangcun Tombs and Han Gaozu Changling, Hanjing Diyang Mausoleum and other Western Han Emperor Mausoleum form elements are similar, the layout is similar, the overall scale is comparable, and there is a clear trajectory of development and evolution, in addition, combined with the literature, the preliminary inference of Jiangcun Tomb is the bullying of Emperor Wen of Han.
Secondly, in recent years, new media communication methods such as live broadcasts and short videos have played a great decisive role. For example, on September 9, 2021, the live broadcast of the Sanxingdui archaeology of the Central Radio and Television Corporation was carried out at the same time. This live broadcast, a number of media platforms have also been broadcast, many traditional culture enthusiasts, followed the live camera, and archaeology for a close contact.
Third, the most enthusiastic thing for the common people is the story of the emperor and the general, and Liu Heng, the Emperor of Han Wen, as the founder of the first prosperous "rule of Wenjing" in ancient China, will naturally receive everyone's attention. On the other hand, in recent years, novels, film and television works on the theme of tomb robbery have also promoted everyone's enthusiasm and concern for archaeology.
In short, the discovery of the Tomb of Emperor Wen of Han is not just an archaeological event. This is a "hot search" caused by a variety of social factors. This may point to the trend of future archaeological excavations: although it is archaeology, it is not limited to archaeology. In any case, we look forward to seeing more archaeological discoveries that fill historical research and enrich social life.
It's the grave robbers again"
How was the Tomb of Emperor Wen of Han discovered? The Gangchon Tomb does not have a tall sealed soil, and at the archaeological site, whether it is a flat view on the ground or a drone overlooking from the sky, it is impossible to see that there is a large tomb here. It entered the eyes of archaeologists, and it also started from a tomb robbery case many years ago, and it was the "disaster" of tomb robbers! In 2002, an auction in the United States pushed the Jiangcun Tomb to Chinese archaeologists for the first time. Six pieces of Black Pottery figurines of the Western Han Dynasty that were stolen from here appeared on the auction catalogue of Thesby Auction House in the United States and will be auctioned soon. Through diplomatic channels, my Government has made timely representations. After many efforts, the six figurines returned to Xi'an in 2003.
Subsequently, the relevant departments investigated the origin of these 6 pottery figurines, and it was finally determined that the tomb robbers excavated them from the ancient tomb in Jiangcun. In 2006, after determining that the figurines were from the ancient tombs of Gangchon, archaeologists conducted an archaeological survey here. The results of the exploration surprised the archaeologists, and there was a sub-zigzag tomb with four burial passages hidden here. After years of hard work, it was finally recently determined that the tomb was the tomb of Emperor Wen of Han.
What historical mysteries can be solved by the discovery of Baling
Emperor Wen of Han, Liu Heng, the fourth son of Liu Bang, the founder of the "Reign of Wenjing", was also the only emperor to be selected as the Twenty-Four Filial Pieties. During his reign, he recuperated and abolished corporal punishment for the people, creating the first prosperous era of China's feudal dynasty, the rule of Wenjing. According to the "Records of Filial Piety", Emperor Wen of Han once ordered before his death: "All the tombs should be ruled by pottery, and gold, silver, copper, and tin should not be used as ornaments, and the tombs should not be ruled, and the provinces should not be bothered." ”
"Not ruling the tomb" means "not having a grave", that is, there is no sealing soil on the tomb, which is rare in the tombs of ancient emperors and empresses. Emperor Wen of Han always advocated frugality and opposed thick burials, and perhaps because of this, thieves in the late Western Han Dynasty excavated the Han family's "Zong Temple", but did not dig Baling and Duling (the tomb of Emperor Xuan of Han). Therefore, whether Baling is really a thin burial can be revealed immediately after excavation.
Jiangcun tomb plane is "Ya" shape, the surface of the land is not sealed, the burial chamber side length of about 72 meters, more than 30 meters deep, more than 110 outer hidden pits were found around the tomb, the outer pit has pebble paved cemetery facilities (tentatively named "Stone Boundary"), the side length is about 390 meters, the four sides of the stone fence are directly in front of the door site, it is speculated that it may be an independent imperial mausoleum (Empress Dou's mausoleum also has an independent mausoleum).
This archaeological work has determined the exact location of the tombs of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty and solved the problem of the names of the eleven imperial tombs of the Western Han Dynasty. The structural layout of the Double Mausoleum, the Imperial Tomb Center, and the Outer Hidden Pit shows obvious differences with the Ancestral Tomb of Han Gao and the Mausoleum of Emperor Hui of Han, which lays the foundation of the imperial tomb system in the middle and late Western Han Dynasty, and is of great significance to the in-depth study of the imperial tomb system in ancient China.
