At that time, Liu Huishan, wearing a pair of straw shoes, braved the enemy's artillery fire to break down the mountain, he ran and ran, suddenly felt a pain in the soles of his feet, and fell on his heels. Looking down, a bullet hit the sole of its straw shoe. Curiously, the warhead was only halfway through, stuck on the straw shoe, but the foot was not injured at all.
Liu Huishan also felt strange, so he took off his straw shoes and put them in his pocket with bullets. After the letter returned, Liu Huishan showed the shoes to Nie Shuai, and after Nie Shuai read them, he also said that it was so incredible that he still couldn't forget it 50 years later.
Later, Liu Huishan recalled that the reason for that situation may be that the enemy is too far away, the bullets have not been much power to fly over, and after hitting the sole, they are blocked by the sole and are stuck.
