On the 1.7 train to Hainan, they had already predicted it

Located on January 7, in the orbit of space-time, it naturally carries the gene of "poetry and far away".

410 years ago, it allowed Galileo to see space with a homemade telescope; 235 years ago, it allowed Brownshire and Jeffries to fly the English Channel in a hydrogen balloon for the first time; and more than two hundred years later, the hot-blooded young Erin? On this day, Kag pedaled his skis alone to the South Pole.

The closest day to us was 17 years ago (January 7, 2003), when it witnessed a train ferry driving from Zhanjiang to Haikou. Since then, China has had the first cross-sea railway, ending the history of the mainland and Hainan without trains.

Thousands of years ago, this was just the "rhapsody" of the poets.

Set sail——

A thousand-year-old canoe in a small village

On January 7, 2003, at 9:02, the Xuwen North Port Wharf on the Leizhou Peninsula, next to the site of the starting port of the Western Han Maritime Silk Road.

With a rumbling sound, a locomotive pushed the carriages onto the trestle, and after docking onto the tracks, the four carriages were propelled onto a white train ferry 165.m long and 22.6 m wide.

At 9:15, the giant white ship named "Guangdong Railway No. 1" slowly left the port and headed for the South Port Wharf in Haikou.

Like the "Guangdong Sea Iron No. 1", people's vision of the other side of the ocean is almost innate. Coincidentally, the story related to longing also takes place on the Leizhou Peninsula.

In late September 1976, a flood washed away the Jianjiang embankment near Shining Village in Changqi Commune, Huazhou.

Along with the washout, there are more than 10 ancient canoes. After identification by archaeologists, it is speculated that it was made between the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Wei and Jin Dynasties.

For a time, the archaeological community and the folk discussion about the ancient people crossing the Qiongzhou Strait by boat were endless.

In fact, the legend of the ancient Yue people crossing the sea from the Leizhou Peninsula to Qiong has never disappeared a thousand years ago. Until the 1950s and 1960s, fishermen on both sides of the strait used sails and hand-cranked wooden boats to cross back and forth.

Compared with the "Guangdong Sea Iron No. 1" that resists the eighth level of wind and waves, canoes and sailing ships are obviously weak and windy.

Because of this, when facing the Qiongzhou Strait, Su Dongpo and other literati also recognized the hearts of people. You know, before this, the open-minded people have always turned the "recklessness" in the eyes of others into poetry.

In 1097, Su Dongpo, who was over sixty years old, was relegated from Huizhou to Hainan.

Perhaps the time at sea was too torturous, and after landing ashore, Su Dongpo, who had always been proud, quickly presented a table to the emperor and said that he was "moving east along many ghost gates, floating on the miasma coast and moving south... Wandering alone across thousands of miles, walking on the end of the road." The words are bitter and miserable, saying that it is a thank you table, more like secretly complaining.

And the Middle Tang Dynasty reformer Yang Yan, when he was degraded to yazhou at the age of 55 and crossed the sea, he wrote down the ancient sad sentence of "where to go in Yazhou, the ghost gate of life is closed".

Crossing the sea————

A dream in the poems of degrading officials and lifting people

The two breakwaters extend forward like hands, the wind and waves in the harbor are calm, and the fishing boats are leaning neatly. Everything is ready, just waiting to embrace the "Guangdong Sea Iron One".

The parting and waiting here are peaceful and peaceful, but in the small pavilion of Lin'an Luyou more than 800 years ago, it is a different situation.

It was a day in 1141 when Li Guanglai, a 63-year-old Song Dynasty minister, bid farewell to Lu You's father.

I may be relegated to a great distance. Li Guang said that because Qin Ju was very jealous of himself and his colleague Zhao Ding, who had been relegated to Hainan, he had a premonition that he would not be able to escape the fate.

Lu You recalled that more than ten days later, Li Guang was really degraded to Fuji Prefecture.

Three years later, he was demoted to Haikou again. Eight years later, he was demoted to Dan County.

In danxian county, while brushing his face and making friends, he frantically collected Su Dongpo's works to dispel the loneliness of living on the island.

In the mid-autumn of the year, Li Guang's good friend, Haikang Taishou Wang Yangong on the other side of the strait, could not bear it, and entrusted people to transport a vat of wine.

After receiving the fine wine, Li Guang immediately set up a banquet to invite the neighbors to drink together. When he was drunk on Mingyue, he remembered that his friends and return date were far away, and he wrote poems and spit them out quickly.

We now know this poem - "Mid-Autumn Xie Yan GongHui Wine". There is a verse like this: "Haibei and Hainan, each on the side of the sky." I am old and old, and the two places are far away. ...... May the Son be aggressive and fly across the air. ”

Li Guang's desire to cross the air to fly a beam was regarded by posterity as the earliest idea of connecting the Qiongzhou Strait.

Whether his friend Wang Yangong made fun of his whimsy after receiving the poetry letter, we can't know. But if the late Qing dynasty poet Feng Jisheng was born seven hundred years earlier, it is likely that he will meet and hate him.

At the age of 32, Feng Jisheng was appreciated by the famous educator Huang Zunxian, calling him an "overseas giant".

But that didn't change what his peers said about him as "grotesque." In the eyes of many people, Feng Jisheng is still incomprehensible.

You see, others are preparing for the Eight Strands of Literature, but he is busy reading and examining classical scriptures; others are chanting Meilan Zhuju, and he alone writes poems about modern scientific and technological products such as chiming bells, hydrogen balloons, and telegrams. And, of course, there's the train.

In the ancient poem "Railway Steamship", he described the foreign train as "Shuicun Shan Guo glanced over, and it was feasible to do thousands of miles in an instant", and fantasized about the railway being built to his hometown of Hainan: "Oh hey! I looked like a train, and opened the railway all over the borderlands. Merchants win, trafficking is particularly convenient.... ”

Arrival——

An Hour of the White Giant Wheel with Zhang Zhidong's "Little Goal"

At 10:10 on January 7, 2003, the "Guangdong Railway No. 1" from Zhanjiang North Port docked steadily at the berth of Haikou South Port.

38 minutes later, the first train officially opened the first railroad track on The South Island of Shanghai, and the sound of the whistle resounded through the sky.

"Guangdong Railway No. 1" took more than an hour to realize Zhang Zhidong's unfulfilled wish in Hainan.

That was 133 years ago. In that year, Hainan suffered banditry, and Zhang Zhidong had just become the governor of Liangguang. While asking the imperial court to send people to suppress bandits, he also set several "small goals" for Hainan's development.

The first is the construction of a tic-tac-toe road to trade along the coast. Since then, he has repeatedly written to ask for the railway to be built into the hinterland of Hainan, but he has not been able to do so.

After witnessing the failure of Zhang Zhidong, the local man Tang Bingzhang was still not dead hearted, and once again proposed to build a railway.

Tang Bingzhang said that the merchants here have long wanted to participate in road construction, but they are worried about losing money. Considering the economic level at that time, he even suggested replacing the rails with hard wood first, so that it could be used for decades and save half the cost. To add to his persuasiveness, he said the move was modeled after the British approach.

However, at a time when the great powers were in full swing and the national strength was weakening, the railway dream of a hundred years ago could not be realized.

The wheel of history has finally rolled to today 13 years ago, and the "Guangdong Railway No. 1" with a load of 4,500 tons and a passenger capacity of more than 1,000 people has ended the history of Hainan's thousand-year-old isolated island.

Now, more than a decade later, the news of "Hainan students taking the train home" will still be on the hot search from time to time. The Guangdong Tie family has expanded from No. 1 to No. 4, and the Qiongzhou Strait Cross-Sea Passage is also undergoing preliminary strategic research.

The dream of crossing the sea is not extinguished, and the story of arrival is always playing out.
