After Yuan Shikai's restoration of the imperial system, Li Yuanhong served as the president and Feng Guozhang became vice president. During this period, Li Yuanhong and Prime Minister Duan Qirui clashed over political discord, and eventually, Duan Qirui took advantage of the opportunity of "Zhang Xun's restoration" to disintegrate Li Yuanhong's regime, and Feng Guozhang became the president of the Republic of China during this period. He died in the eighth year of the Republic of China.
