Apple doesn't expect folding iPhones until 2023 at the earliest

On December 14, according to foreign media reports, display analyst Ross Young said in a report that Apple will launch a foldable iPhone or iPad as early as 2023, and it is more likely to launch in 2024 due to "technology and supply chain issues".

Rumors and reports have been rife in recent months about Apple's folding iPhones, with Apple foldable devices allegedly measuring up to 8 inches in screen size and OLED panels provided by LG. However, there is still evidence that Samsung provided Apple with a foldable display sample for testing, Apple began the "early research and development work" of the foldable iPhone in January, and there are rumors that Apple is cooperating with LG Display.

Kuo has previously said apple needs to address "key technology and mass production issues" before it can launch a foldable iPhone by 2023.

Analysts believe that foldable smartphones will become a "necessity" for all mainstream smartphone brands, while Samsung has taken the lead and has been in the forefront for several years of experience in foldable devices, and earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold3, the third iteration of its foldable smartphone.
