"Adhere to the people's position and write an endless people's epic" is a very important requirement. Writers and poets must stand on the side of the people, not contradict the people. The people are not "stupid", not "fools", not inferior in the eyes of writers and poets. The people are the source of the creation of writers and poets, and they are the spokesmen of the people.

"Whoever builds up people with virtue will first establish himself, and he who casts bacon will first cast himself." The duty of writers and poets is to provide spiritual food for the people and set an example for the people to cultivate virtue. Many writers and poets scorn the people, which actually shows that they are not qualified literary and artistic workers. However, they hold the right to speak in the literary and poetic circles, and I hope that through this congress, they can change their past mistakes and reflect on their words and deeds well. Writing for the people and speaking for the people is not shameful at all.

"Tell the story of China with affection and strength, and show the world a credible, lovely and respectable image of China." We cannot regard the West as "the place where the gods are", let alone blindly think that "our aesthetic is a hundred years behind the West". We must not follow the West and describe the "stories" they like to read, but to show the self-confidence of our culture and the charm of our culture.

Our "spiritual food" should also be healthy and safe. The harm of unsafe and unhealthy "spiritual food" is actually very great, affecting not only one generation, but also decades and generations. Writers and poets, they must put the people in their hearts and speak for them, not stand against them. "Save righteousness for history, promote virtue for the people of the world, and leave a clear name for yourself."
