In the view of some people, since April 25, 1644, after the Chongzhen Emperor chose Jingshan to hang himself because of Li Zicheng's invasion of the Forbidden City, the Ming Dynasty died, and the Chongzhen Emperor was the last emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Just when the Chongzhen Emperor was killed, the Ming general Wu Sangui chose to open the gate of Shanhaiguan and let the Qing soldiers enter. Li Zicheng, fearing the strength of the Eight Banners, fled from Beijing in a hurry, and from then on, the country changed hands, and the Central Plains land was completely under the rule of the Qing government.
However, this concept is actually wrong, in fact, although the Chongzhen Emperor died, the Ming Dynasty did not die, and the remaining Ming nobles fled to the south to establish the Southern Ming regime and coexist with the Qing regime. At the same time, although Li Zicheng was soon taken up by the Qing soldiers, the Daxi regime established by Zhang Xianzhong was still entrenched in the Sichuan-Chongqing region, and later joined hands with the Southern Ming regime, adding a lot of trouble to the Qing government.
In 1661, the 24-year-old Shunzhi Emperor died suddenly, and the 8-year-old Kangxi was forced to ascend to the throne. The following year, the Ming and Onishi regimes collapsed, and Zheng Chenggong led the remnants of the Southern Ming to flee to Ryukyu. It is just that the Central Plains continent seems to have been unified, in fact, the anti-Qing and Restoration forces have always existed, and the people are more inclined to the Ming Dynasty, where the Han people are the masters of their own affairs, rather than the Manchu qing nobles ruling themselves, and even many students would rather give up the qualifications of Guangzong Yaozu than take the Qing Dynasty examination.
The Kangxi Emperor's six visits to Jiangnan were actually to consolidate the rule of the Qing Dynasty and gain the recognition of the people. But in addition, he also had two moves, which were really able to be called able to bend and stretch, and indeed won the hearts of the people for him, that is, to worship Zhu Yuanzhang and Confucius. Zhu Yuanzhang was the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and Confucius was the founder of Confucianism, who ruled the feudal people for hundreds of years, both of whom had a very high status in the hearts of the Chinese people at that time.
As an emperor, the Kangxi Emperor was the most honorable figure under the heavens, and only others knelt before, and there was no reason for him to kneel to others, but for the sake of the Qing Dynasty's rule, he compromised. 6 times down to Jiangnan, 6 times to worship the Confucius Temple and ming xiaoling, 6 times to Zhu Yuanzhang and Confucius to bow down!
In fact, Zhu Yuanzhang is fine, after all, he was a person who had been an emperor, and Kangxi himself also admired Zhu Yuanzhang very much, and he knelt down; but Confucius, although he was the most holy in the world, was after all only a person who served the emperor, and the Kangxi Emperor really made a lot of psychological preparations for kneeling, and even made a little trouble at the beginning.
After the completion of the worship at the Confucius Temple, it was planned that Kangxi should go to Konglin in Qufu, Shandong Province, and perform a kneeling ceremony for the tomb of Confucius in The Confucius Forest. But when he arrived at the tomb of Confucius, Kangxi was unwilling to kneel. The courtier next to him looked at it and called a hurry, this is coming, why did the emperor suddenly lose his temper? Originally, in order to respect the position of Confucius in the hearts of the world's readers, the tombstone of this Confucius tomb is not written on the tomb of Kong Qiu, but the tomb of King Xuan of Dacheng The Most Holy Wen. After kneeling the Ming Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, he also had to kneel another "king", did the Kangxi emperor want to face it?
