"Dream Breaks the Cold Palace" is a newly compiled historical story drama created by playwright Gao Xinpei in 1988. The play was still directed by Ma Zhaolu. This play is somewhat similar to the traditional drama "The Return of the Anxious Son" in some places, and in the 50s I cooperated with Teacher Hua Yanjun to perform "The Return of the Urgent Son". At that time, Mr. Hua was already a very famous actor, and I was a student who had just come out of Maolu. In order to promote me, she took care of me everywhere during the rehearsal, so that I got a good exercise. This cooperation has been of great help to me now in rehearsing "Dream Break Cold Palace"

Old Gao this play was written for me. People say that I have acted in Xiaosheng dramas in the past (referring to Min Ziqian in "Luhua"), and I have also used Xiaosheng things in plays such as "King Rama", which is very interesting, and I hope that I have the opportunity to have a small life drama. And the first three scenes of the protagonist of this "Dream Break Cold Palace" are a young and handsome prince. The last two scenes are sixteen years later, turning into a half-immortal body with black hair and a Taoist costume on his chest and holding dust, which is a play of Su Sheng.

It sounds like a joke, when I was eighteen, nineteen or twenty years old, I did not perform Xiaosheng drama, and Su Sheng sang until I was forty-eight years old and took over a role with Xiaosheng drama. My voice had long since become thicker and my voice was not pure. Singing is easy to do, the voice is not good, and you can find resonance elsewhere. But a white, whether it can tell the crisp and sweet charm of Xiaosheng is difficult to say. However, my handling of the role is still the old way, more on the temperament, to find the feeling, so this level can also be counted as a pass.

Another feature of this play is that the costumes are all designed according to the costume, so I can't bring water sleeves. We know that water sleeves are an important tool for opera performers to use their performance programs. Once it is removed, many exaggerated performances seem to be different. Fortunately, the appearance of my last two scenes is a Taoist, and the Taoist priest must have a whisk in his hand. With this prop in your hand, many figures are easy to do. Old classmate Lu Tiecheng is a singing martial arts student, and now he is also a director. He and Ma Zhaolu designed a lot of dance figures for my dust, such a role of Eguan Bo wide sleeves, and then properly danced fairy dust, it is also very beautiful.

"Dream Break Cold Palace" is a tragic tragedy, ending with the emperor's family under the throne of the palace. My role is also in the position of a wife who is taken away by his father, whose position is inherited by his brother, who is also a wife and a mother, and wants to relive old dreams; The one who has a real son will put him to death; He himself is incontrovertible with people, but he can't get rid of this inexplicable flesh and blood entanglement vortex... Emotional upheavals are large and mental activities complex. Coupled with the two performance forms of the former primary school student and the post-student, it is particularly difficult to perform. But in terms of the shape of the character, this is another image that I haven't played in the past. It is also a kind of broadened drama path.
