Chairman Mao and a series of ideologically advanced revolutionaries led the founding of New China, but before that, there were also a group of revolutionaries of the older generation who also laid a certain foundation for the overthrow of the old rule, including Comrade Sun Yat-sen and Wang Baozhen. Wang Baozhen also made great contributions to the Xinhai Revolution, and he followed and supported Dr. Sun Yat-sen in launching the Xinhai Revolution. In the early days, when he was 23 years old, he and some like-minded friends founded the Tianzu Association to spread some revolutionary ideas. Later, he received state support for his excellent grades to study in Japan, and in the process of studying in Japan, he once heard Sun Yat-sen's speech, and later decided to follow Sun Yat-sen in the revolution.
Wang Baozhen returned to China before he graduated. At that time, many classmates advised him to wait a little longer, get his graduation certificate and then return to China, but Wang Baozhen felt that even if he returned to China, he would not be able to serve in the Qing court, so this paper diploma did not have much effect on him, so he returned to China.
After returning to China, he used his own efforts to contact some warlords and persuade them to join the revolution to end the rule of the Qing Dynasty. During this period, he has been constantly traveling to various provinces and cities in the country to contact all the forces that can be contacted, in order to hasten the demise of feudal rule.
Later, with the end of the Wuchang Uprising, the Xinhai Revolution was successful to a certain extent, overthrowing the rule of the Qing Dynasty, but did not expect that after this, Yuan Shikai used some means to seize the fruits of the revolution and force Sun Yat-sen to hand over real power, which also made Wang Baozhen feel very angry.
Since then, he has begun to overthrow Yuan Shikai's rule in a series of ways, and after the end of the Xinhai Revolution, Wang Baozhen was elected to the National Assembly, and he severely reprimanded some of The policies and practices of Yuan Shikai's people in the parliament, and outside the parliament, contacted other colleagues who shared his views to impeach Yuan Shikai.
But after all, the power was still in the hands of Yuan Shikai, so under Yuan Shikai's suppression, Wang Baozhen had to leave Beijing and hide in Shanghai. However, even after arriving in Shanghai, Wang Baozhen continued to propagate the revolution and openly opposed Yuan Shikai's claim to the throne. Later, after Yuan Shikai's death, Wang Baozhen also proposed to Sun Yat-sen to eliminate other warlords in the form of armed forces.
After the outbreak of the May Fourth Movement, Wang Baozhen also suggested that the Kuomintang authorities should support the people in carrying out patriotic movements. And during this period Wang Baozhen proposed that relations with Russia should be improved, because during this period he was also greatly influenced by the ideas of Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao, although they belonged to different factions, but they had some similarities in thinking.
They all hate the minions of imperialism and cherish the soviet union's support and help for the Chinese revolution. During that period, Wang Baozhen carried out many activities to promote friendly relations between China and Russia, such as book donations, the establishment of the Russian Disaster Relief Association, and the organization of fundraising and delivery of grain to Russia.
After Lenin's death, he also launched a memorial service for Lenin, and launched a memorial for Lenin in China. But then Yuan Shikai came to Chiang Kai-shek, and the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen made Wang Baozhen, who was with him as a friend, feel very sad, and what was even more unacceptable was that Chiang Kai-shek came to the throne to suppress Wang Baozhen, a series of revolutionary elders.

After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Chiang Kai-shek launched a civil war in disregard of the agreement, and at this time, Wang Baozhen and the Communist Party stood together and used his status as a revolutionary elder to lobby everywhere.
Using all available connections, he persuaded government officials everywhere to detach themselves from Chiang Kai-shek and the Kuomintang as much as possible. Wang Baozhen's series of actions were known to Chiang Kai-shek, and when Wang Baozhen wanted to return to Shanghai to launch an uprising against Chiang Kai-shek, he exposed his whereabouts and was caught and detained by Chiang Kai-shek's agents.
At that time, Wang Baozhen received solidarity from all walks of life in prison, which also caused a lot of public pressure on Chiang Kai-shek, and even so Chiang Kai-shek did not let people go, thinking of secretly killing people after the limelight passed. But I didn't expect that it would not be long before Shanghai was liberated.
After the liberation of Shanghai, Chiang Kai-shek fled to Taiwan, and because Shanghai had just been liberated, the political situation in Shanghai was not very stable, so the Communist Party needed a senior and highly respected person to preside over the situation in Shanghai, so they thought of Wang Baozhen, they took Wang Baozhen out of prison, and Wang Baozhen was ecstatic when he got out of prison and got the news of the liberation of Shanghai.
Later, he immediately cooperated with the Communist Party in his work and tried to stabilize the situation in Shanghai. Wang Baozhen has been actively involved in revolutionary work since he was in his 20s and is a staunch follower of Sun Yat-sen. He has made great contributions to the stability of China's political situation, spending decades of his life on this matter, and the day Shanghai was truly liberated, he was already a 70-year-old man.
