Truth | this is not a movie! It's an American "floating prison" hidden at sea.

It is no secret that the United States has set up "black prisons" around the world, and even the "Guantanamo" of the United States has sailed to the sea.

As early as 2005, the United Nations noted the secret detention of terrorism suspects by the United States, especially on warships. In 2008, the human rights group Reprieve revealed a figure that the United States may have used as many as 17 warships as "floating prisons" since 2001.

However, the United States has flatly denied this allegation. A U.S. Defense Department spokesman denied at the time that there were detention facilities on the warship and said no more than 10 people were detained on board.

But the surviving victims were the most powerful witnesses: one prisoner confirmed that before he was sent to Guantanamo, he was locked up in the bottom of an American warship with about 50 people, who were beaten worse than the prisoners in Guantanamo.

So why is the United States interrogating at sea? It turned out that in addition to the interrogation, there was another mystery behind it. President George W. Bush acknowledged in 2006 that the CIA, along with its allies around the world, had woven a web of secrets made up of "black jails," and subsequently declared that "these secret prisons are now empty." In the Obama administration, the authorities promised to "shut down Guantanamo."

The words have been spoken, but these "secret prisons" cannot be closed, and the United States is reluctant to be "high-value" prisoners, and needs a safe, secret, and convenient prison to continue to operate. Therefore, the U.S. Navy assumed the responsibility of a "floating prison". There are at least three considerations here.

The first is to block the mouth of Yo-Yo. Lawyers and the media have no choice but to defend their image as "defenders of human rights."

The second is to evade legal sanctions. These dirty things were not afraid to be leaked out, and the American crew confirmed that they were always sailing on the high seas and that there was little law to help them.

The third is to ensure absolute safety. For the U.S. Navy, it is difficult for those "high-value targets" to "get rid of the shell", after all, there are American warships cruising everywhere, and other forces want to rob the prison.

Let's take a look at what's going on in the "floating prison"?

According to prisoners held on U.S. Coast Guard vessels, more than 20 people were handcuffed to the ship, and the space was very small. They get very little food every day, and in conditions of malnutrition, they have to steal leftovers left in the trash cans by the guards. After more than two months in detention, someone lost 50 pounds (about 23 kilograms) directly.

Under torture, there is often more evil. After the arrest of terrorism suspect Ibn Sheikh Libi, he was imprisoned on the USS Bataan amphibious assault ship and sent to Egypt. He was also terrified of american torture, so he fabricated intelligence that Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq was colluding with al-Qaida.

Later, everyone knows, and his testimony is one of the reasons for the war between the United States and Iran. Later, he had to go to various secret prisons and eventually died mysteriously in Libya.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Guantanamo Prison. Guantanamo Prison, which has been criticized for 20 years, cannot be closed, let alone those "floating prisons" hidden in the vast sea?
