On December 13, 1937, the Japanese army invaded Nanjing and carried out a massacre of more than 40 days of extermination of humanity against our compatriots, killing 300,000 people, leaving the darkest page in the history of human civilization. In order to remember history, cherish peace, and warn the future, on February 27, 2014, the Seventh Session of the Standing Committee of the Twelfth National People's Congress passed a decision to establish December 13 as the National Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre in the form of legislation.

December 13, 2021 is the eighth National Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre.

300,000 compatriots were killed, blood and tears, national shame, never dare to forget.

On the occasion of the cold years, in the name of the country, we will reminisce about the deceased and remember the heroes.

Remember history between the inches

Commemorative stamp of "Chinese The 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War"

On September 3, 2015, China Post issued a set of 13 commemorative stamps entitled "The 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War", one of which is the memorial hall of the compatriots killed in the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese Army invading China.

The stamp screen adopts the method of painting realism, using a dignified black tone, and the background pattern shows the tragic scene of the Massacre, which is combined with the memorial of the main picture, making people feel that time and space have traveled, as if they are in reality, but they are brought into historical events.

The commemorative postcard uses the concept of contrast between "war and peace", and part of the postage map is a national memorial, using the "heavy instrument of the country" to commemorate the deceased. The background is the "Wall of Disaster" and the "Wall of The List of Compatriots Killed": "300,000 Victims" in 12 languages, including Chinese, British, Japanese, German, Portuguese, Greek and Dutch, and the names of the victims are shocking, giving people a strong visual impact. In addition, in the accompanying part of the commemorative postage postcard, the image of the "Goddess of Peace" comes straight into view, the young mother holds a happy baby in her arms, and the dove of peace with her wings spread in her hand shows the yearning and love of the Chinese people for peace.

A commemorative cover issued on the same day bears a personalized stamp with a picture of the main picture of the Great Wall, "Goddess of Peace". The lower left corner of the commemorative cover is the "Great Bell of Peace", and the bell frame uses three black prisms and five maroon circles to form 300,000 figures, and the three black beams in the middle are a fallen "human" character. The commemorative cover also bears the postmark of the day of public worship with the image of the dove of peace.

Remembering is not only pathos, commemoration is not to continue hatred, at this moment, Chinese solemnly warn the world to stay away from the flames of war! Be a resolute advocate and strong defender of world peace!
