First, the version in the Fengshen Rendition
In the "Fengshen Yanyi", this person is the guard of Chen Tangguan, and in the present, that is, the commander of the First Army, with a very high status and great power. He was a general in the imperial court, and he gave birth to three sons, and this third was a freak, and when he was born, he was actually a meat ball, and the children who came out of it also brought their own weapons and were born to speak.
He thinks it's a monster, so he doesn't like him all the time, and even wants to harm him. Later, the third elder may have become very rebellious because his father did not love him, and actually hunted and killed the Dragon Prince in the sea.
The Dragon King went to the Heavenly Court to sue him, but was unexpectedly flattened by him. Later, the Jade Emperor's holy decree was sent down to execute the Li family, so Nezha went to his own death and saved his parents. Later, he dreamed to his mother, saying that as long as he built a temple, he could save him, but his father was unwilling, first of all, he felt that he was a monster, and second, this old third wife could break into trouble, so the father and son formed a grudge, and then because they worked together in the Zhou Dynasty, this barely resolved the grudge.
According to this version, he really should not be called prince, and in this work, no one really calls him prince. The son of the chief soldier dared to call him the prince, was that not trespassing? Don't you want to be beheaded!
Second, other versions
In "Journey to the West", Li Jing's identity has changed greatly, and he is no longer on the earth, but a great general in the heavens. When I was born in my third year, it was also very strange. The plot is similar to the Fengshen Rendition, which is also the third elder who goes to the sea to have a grudge with the son of the Dragon King, and after the two fight, he skins and cramps the Son of the Dragon King.
When his father found out, he planned to kill him. However, because of his anger, he actually cut himself alive. But his father still wanted to trouble him and kill his soul, so he quickly fled to the Buddha, entered Buddhism and was given a golden body.
And he got the improvement of physical ability, and actually went back to try to kill his father, and then this Li Jing also ran to the Buddha for help. Later, the Buddha gave Li Jing a pagoda, and both father and son stopped thinking about it because they both benefited from Buddhism. In this version, Li Jing is the "Heavenly King" in heaven, with a very high status, and it is normal for his son to become a prince.
Third, the son of the king also has a prince
Many dynasties in our country, the princes are fiefdoms, what kind of kings, some dynastic kings have lived in their own fiefdoms almost all their lives, they are the earth emperors here, after death, the descendants can inherit the throne, the people who inherit the throne are generally determined in advance, even if they are crown princes, such people are also princes, but they are the princes in the feudal country, not the princes of the whole country.
Therefore, because his father became a heavenly god in some versions, Nezha's identity was also promoted, from a male brother like the son of the chief soldier to a prince directly. This prince is still the son of a god, so the superstitious ancients worship this image even more, and the name of the third prince is becoming more and more widespread. In the end, even if people know that in some versions, his father is a general soldier, they still like to call him "prince".
