Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Historical Museum

On December 13, 2006, the Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Historical Museum was officially opened.

The Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum, which was personally invested and built by Wu Xianbin, a citizen of Nanjing, is the first comprehensive non-governmental museum in Jiangsu Province to reflect the nanjing people's anti-Japanese struggle. At present, the museum has more than 1,300 precious collections and more than 40,000 anti-war books. The exhibition consists of two parts: "Complaints of Nanjing City" and "People Who Do Not Want to Be Slaves", so that people can understand the historical tragedy of the "Nanjing Massacre" and the cultural spirit of Nanjing City in the War of Resistance from a unique folk perspective. It has strong educational appeal, appeal and shock power. Since its official opening to the public in December 2006, the museum has received visitors6. More than 80,000 people, including 17 foreign delegations from the United States and Japan.

Mr. Wu Xianbin bought historical photographs of the Japanese bombing of Nanjing and the massacre of civilians from a Nanjing man surnamed Zhong. The photographs record the "citizens of Nanjing who died tragically under the enemy plane", showing the bodies of Chinese who were burned and killed; they also record the bomb craters left by the Japanese bombing, the tragic situation after the collapse of the house, and the "ink (should be wood - reporter's note) of the japanese aircraft that was shot down" Andjin Air Force enemy aircraft. The photographer is Xue Baoding, a cousin of the famous scholar Gu Yuxiu and later joined the CCP. Wang Weixing, who has studied the history of the Japanese army's Nanjing Massacre, said that there are not many photos left in history of the tragic bombing of Nanjing by Japanese aircraft, and the group of historical photos collected by Wu Xianbin directly reflects the tragic situation of our compatriots after being bombed by Japanese planes.
