Songhu Pavilion held a memorial service for the National Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre

This year marks the 84th anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, and today is the eighth National Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre. At 10 o'clock this morning, the Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall routinely held a national memorial day for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre at the same time as 24 anti-war memorial halls across the country. With the majestic ceremony of the sound of the national anthem, representatives from all walks of life laid wreaths in front of the Monument to the Unsung Heroes, and the audience observed a moment of silence to mourn the victims of the Nanjing Massacre, as well as all the martyrs of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression who died heroically in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the compatriots who were killed by the Japanese invaders. About 200 people from all walks of life, including the army, schools and communities, participated in the public festival. On the same day, the "Youth and Blood To Protect the Hometown - Oral History and Cultural Relics Exhibition of Anti-Japanese War Veterans" jointly organized by the Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and the Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum was officially launched. Based on historical facts, the exhibition systematically introduces the passionate years and bold loyalty of anti-War veterans with the oral materials of 120 veterans, more than 200 historical photos and 100 precious cultural relics.
